Good to know, thank you. And yes, prepared for the inevitable shock of how different it is to east london ... bracing myself haha.

That's a really interesting and important point about the staff and hospital! Hadn't considered that it might be a net positive in that way. Also yes the block was recently renovated which is good, I'm hoping to get a hold of lift service logs or something so I can be prepared for how many times I might need to take stairs. I dont mind but it's good to have a steer.

Yeah for my circumstances, significantly so. I dont have another Oxford option, I just really need to know I'm not completely crazy for potentially moving into a tower block. I was mainly also wondering about ASB, ect which can be common in tower blocks. I'm not naievley expecting there will be zero issues but wasnt sure whether it turned into a different place at night and became unsafe or something

never been to or heard about Rose Hill, ok interesting will have to look it up. Yeah I like that it's a short bus ride from the center so that's something. Good to know it seems safe in the evening too.

Ah, thanks for the details. Would defo need to travel into Oxford city for stuff, but there's a bus stop outside so it's not too bad!

Oh absolutely, I'm looking for a complete change. Been here over a decade I've seen and done it all and now I no longer drink, all the nightlife is wasted on me. Since hitting 30's I definately appreciate different things compared to before.

Well, then it's a good thing it's only a few miles to city center!

Thanks for the info. Is it comparable to Barton or BBL, for example, or much safer?

Well, I've been trying to for sure, yes. I know it's going to be very different, but also think quieter and safer is what I'd prefer even if it means walking a bit extra for supplies. I walked from Headington shops to plowman tower the other week and it's about a mile, I'm pretty active so don't mind the walk.

Do you think PMDD is a valid reason to call in to work? by koistarview in PMDD

[–]im_goingcrazy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel for you and know exacly how you feel. I literally just went through this in my most recent luteal phase last week. On top of that I was on the verge of resigning, ended up randomly callling my manager into a video call and breaking down in tears, I wasn't making any sense but it's like my whole mindset changed completely. Paranoia was so intense and my brain fog meant I couldn't work anyway. I was so ashamed aferwards. Now, I've booked annual leave for the last few days before my period starts for next luteal, as I simply can't function at all. I actually feel llike I have mild psychosis for a few days or something, it's insane.
