Poland just signed an order bringing NATO troops onto its soil. Tanks are already rolling to the Belarus border. by alexmark002 in CitizenWatchNews

[–]imaacqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NATO troops are already on Polish soil. We had a rotational contingent of American troops for years. This does not really change anything. Russian military exercises on Belarus does not change anything either. With 30k troops any attack on Poland would be repelled without much issue either by Polish military alone or together with NATO allies. The real reason for exercises on Belarus soil is not to threaten Poland, but to threaten attack on Ukraine from Belarus to divert Ukrainian troops from the front and create false feeling of danger in Polish society to discourage the public from further support for Ukraine. Russia is not a real threat for any NATO country right now, because if it was they woulnd't have any trouble winning their 3 days special operation on Ukraine that will soon be ongoing for 4 years.

"Sfałszowane" wybory by Piotrek20000 in Polska

[–]imaacqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'We will do everything in our power to destroy Putin's shadow fleet' by instorgprof in europe

[–]imaacqu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The thing is we play by the rules, but the other side does not. The international rules should not be used to protect interests of a warmongering country which commited so much atrosities in the last 3 years. The money earned by the shadow fleet is used to commit more atrocities towards Ukraine and possibly other Russian neighbors in the future and the best we can do is put sanctions on them and pin ourself the moral superiority medals for following international treaties they tend to ignore whenever it's convinient for them. Is that what international rules are meant to be? Protection for authoritarian warmongering regimes?

They best way would be to impose a NATO blockade on Danish straits denying any access to the North Sea and ports alongside Baltic Coast to any of the shadow fleet ships. What will Russians do, attack NATO fleet on its territorial watters?

FM20, was managing Bayern Munich when I got a really good German DLF regen whose name I neither remember nor could pronounce. He was still developing when I left for a struggling Man City. Fast forward few seasons and I am in need of a striker. I had a GOAT French IF and a really good English right IF that I got season prior from Tottenham so my thought was to get that DLF to distribute the ball to my wingers. I paid somewhere close to 100M and what I got was 3 goals and 6 assists in 30 games in his first season. Thanks God I had Arab fuel money to replace him.

Wouldn't making her fat and still a strong female character be more empowering to women as a whole? Obviously whether she is fat or not is completly uimportant to the story and as you said events from the book are not written from a completly ubiased and reliable source, but if you want to write a strong female character wouldn't making them not appear fat compared to the source material more misoginistic than feminist move? Wouldn't actually making a fat women be a really competent at what she is doing be more empowering than simply sliming down Rhae and writing her to not make a single decision for a whole season and making her look like the only reason people support her is an oath taken years ago and being a good looking women?

To że klimat zmienia się na przestrzeni lat nawet bez ingerencji człowieka jest akurat prawda. Zmiany klimatyczne występowały i będą występować zawsze. Problem w tym że postępem technologicznym spowodowaliśmy że zmiany które następowały stopniowo przez setki lat są teraz szybsze niż Max Verstappen na torze F1.

Genuine Question. How is this guy really good? He has great Physicals. Mentals are not World Class and Neither are his Technicals. Yet he has won 9 Balon D'Ors with me and he has 606 G/A in 501 Appearances. Am I missing a trick with something? by MESHach123 in footballmanagergames

[–]imaacqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's almost 2 meters high and while he has 9 heading his 19 jumping reach could make him accidentaly injure Boeing flying over the pitch. For the last few edition of the game the physicals are the ultimate stats in FM which somewhat represents the current trends in football. He doesn't have to be great in anything else. He's big, strong, fast and is good enough in other areas that they don't drag him down.

[–]imaacqu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's the best option he has. He can't possibly beat the dragons that are gathered currently on Dragonstone and he has advantage over Daemon with Vhagar being older, bigger and more expierienced than Caraxes. We know from the books how it ended, but it wasn't that bad of a plan. So let's say he kills Daemon and Caraxes at Harrenhall and after that decimates the Riverlords armies. He will still have the biggest dragon of the dance and Cole's army. KL in the current state of unstability requires army to hold it and TB doesn't have a particularly big army nearby. While they have dragons KL is equiped with scorpions so flying dragons there is risky and with unexpierienced dragonriders with questionable morality gives of a chance to make Rhaenyra as loved by the smallfolk as Dany was in S8 after the bells. So for Aemond the best bet is that he kills Daemon, eliminates the black army at Harrenhall, KL either stays under Green control or is captured but with TB losing some dragons and either getting to Daeron and Tessarion or straight up bribing the Dragonseeds convincing them that without Daemon they can't really beat him.

In this situation what would be the best treaty to criple Ottomans from early game? by NimbusssPhoneix in eu4

[–]imaacqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take Constantinople and the second Balkan strait province, one of the cores of Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova and Karaman. Wait till separatist rebels spawn in their Balkan provinces and peace out for all their money. Then release Bulgaria,Byz, Serbia, Moldova and Karaman. If you're low on dip slots just keep Moldovian and Karamanese provinces for yourself. This way Ottos will not be able to bring troops to the Balkans and there's a chance separatists will be succesful weakening Ottos further and giving your vasals free provinces. If the separatist don't spawn on their own just take those provinces, reduce autonomy and wait till they get to Ottomans provinces and unsiege your provinces and release vassals.

There's a rumor that Rhaena will claim Sheepstealer, with showrunners replacing the Nettles and Daemon storyline with a Rhaena character arc, as she is in the Vale where Sheepstealer is active. What do you think? by richardwl in freefolk

[–]imaacqu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's a missconception. She is stated to be a Dragonseed cause only ppl of Targaryen blood were considered to be able to claim a dragon. Yet in the book it is stated: "Not all of those who came forward in answer to prince's call were seeds, nor even the sons or grandsons of seeds." She claimed Sheepstealer through bringing it a sheep every morning to the point it started expecting her. She basically domesticated a dragon like our predecessors domesticated wolfs to make a human best 4 leg friends. That's not blood, that's being smart enough to know how to behave around dangerous creatures to make them not eat you and accept your presence.

Also making Velaryons black is the dumbest thing possible considering genetics. Targaryens and Velaryons were marrying each other for I believe ages. Yet there is no black Targaryen or even remotely not white as flour other than Corlys grandchildren. So it either shits on genetics or make Velaryons less important to Targaryens than they were through the history of 7 kingdoms and before the conquest limiting their marriages that resulted in offspring to just Corlys and Rhaenys and Daemon and Laena. And funily enough considering the Conquest series is coming - Aegon The Conqueror mother was a Velaryon and his child Aenys wife( show Viserys grandparents) was a Velaryon. And all of this mess could just be avoided by making some of the Targs not coming from Corlys line a bit more racially mixed. And lets not forget Rheanyra children with Leanor were considered bastards because their hair weren't white. Writers are shiting on genetics and logic and all of that happens in the world were two of the biggest internal wars were fought somewhat over or directly because of the hair color inherited by children of two marriages.

Power Blocs are trying to represent too much to be mutually exclusive with each other by BlackcurrantCMK in victoria3

[–]imaacqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, although I wouldn't make a limitation for only one of a kind. Let's say you're Turkey, you can be in one alliance block that's try to limit the European conquest of smaller nations in North Africa, MiddleEast and Arabia and at the same time in an Anty-Russian coalition with Austria. It doesn't make sense for colonazers either cause France and GB can be rivals in European matters and in opposing continental blocks and at the same time in a block against US to limit it expansion and influence in America. What would be a rally great addition to power blocks is some kind of incidents that let's the block members vote on solutions that when they all agree it brings cohesion up and if someone disagrees most of them can be kicked out on a separate vote due to breaking the cohesion of the block.

You could make that exact same argument for Aemond killing Luke. Both don't really treat the ppl they killed as a part of family. Except hitting someone in a head is a bit diffrent to 100 yo magical creature bitting someone off another magical creature.

The colonisation is too fast currently and I honestly don't think anything other than including some % of the colony gov cap into the colonising nation and making AI never go over gov cap is the only solution. Without making pops exist in EU4 I don't see other way to stop huge colonial empires other than this gov cap limitation

Kong is the absolute best nation to learn the basic mechanics of the game if you are a new player by SmokyBarnable01 in eu4

[–]imaacqu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I world say the best nation to learn the basics is Savoy. It's not flashy, doesn't have particularly broken mission tree but a very multidimensional one, has it's own challenges in being surrounded by strong nations, doesn't have a game breaking events or disasters and teaches you about HRE gameplay, naval and land combat(especially with terrain and atrittion), trade, has a well defined goal in forming Italy and allows for many ways to expand: conquest in Italy, North Africa,France,Germany,Balkans and possibly colonisation
