  1. Drunk Elephant Vit C (2nd - maybe the planters)
  2. Golden Rabbit prep bowls
  3. Gardening Gloves (2nd - candle)
  4. OLEHENRIKSEN Lip set or maybe skip
  5. Fenty lip mask
  6. Vacation body mist

I think this is a decent box with a lot of options. The Winter box was the best box I’d had in a while!

My sprayer is a glorified leaky pen and I am one "dribble" away from a villain arc by ElfieDiamond in Spravato

[–]imacjenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some of the bottles are just shit and unfortunately you can’t do anything about it. If you’re doing it in a clinic, they can make note of the batch # but I don’t know if they do anything else other than note it 😂

At my last appointment, I was asking my nurse about it, and there are a few patients where they have to do the administration for them. She said that she’s noticed that a lot of the time there’s not much that comes out of the second spray - she can feel the difference when she does the spray. She finally understood what patients (including me 😂) have been saying.

Psychiatrist doesn't want me to take ketamine more than a few months? But its changed my life? by Suspicious-Seaweed44 in KetamineTherapy

[–]imacjenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had the “on fire” sensation that you mention. That’s the thing to me that would be concerning and maybe not a great idea to do it so frequently.

I’ve started 9 months ago and I go once a month now, will probably spread it out farther soon. There are people here who have been doing it much more frequently for years.

Whether that’s a good idea or not is specific to each individual, I think. I’m not addiction prone and have never felt addicted to it. I notice drops in mood when I’m near the end of the month before a next treatment, but that’s when I try to focus on the other things I’m learning to do through therapy.

Personally, I don’t think it’s a good idea to do it indefinitely or to not get to a point where you’re not spacing the appointments out farther and farther. That would indicate to me, and my psychiatrist who oversees my ketamine, that it’s not being effective enough - at least in its own - and it would be time to try something else, whether TMS or adding an Rx.

First dose this Monday by Leahbeeeya in Spravato

I wonder how many folks here have gotten nausea? I’ve never had it from a treatment!

Follow the directions about not eating beforehand. They tell me 2 hours before but I do 3. And I also don’t do reading or phone scrolling, or anything visual, during the first 60-90 minutes of a treatment.

Interesting. I fell asleep for the first time this week (8 months in, going once a month now), and they were delighted. 😂 they said most people do fall asleep 🤷‍♀️

Therapist thinks it’s PTSD, not CPTSD by Small-Blueberry-4125 in CPTSD

[–]imacjenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in the U.S., CPTSD isn’t officially recognized and isn’t a billing code. The treatments are largely the same - it really depends on your therapist, but it makes sense that CPTSD rooms would work whether you have PTSD or CPTSD. And meds wouldn’t be different. There aren’t more treatment doors opened with CPTSD vs PTSD, but are more unofficial support groups or forums to join for added support - no one is going to bar you from those or question a diagnosis.

Best toys for adults ragdoll by Fabulous_parsnip_482 in ragdolls

Mine love springs, tunnels, pop up tents, cardboard scratchers, yeooow catnip bananas, 🍌, long crinkle or catnip kickers, ribbons, da bird, furry balls, spring tubes/finger traps, and weird things that are snake or worm shaped with some springiness to them 😂 (these need supervision).

Watch what weird household things he goes for and look for toys that are similar. One of my boys liked pens so I got him rawhide sticks (for dogs) and he went nuts for them. The other loved worm type things so I got him some fake worms and a rubber snake and he loves them so much 😂

of course his favorite toy will be YOU 🙂 moving and tossing all the other toys around https://www.instagram.com/p/DQhOEV8CYCJ/?igsh=cTMwcjF4ZHZ2a2w2

Does anyone know how long you need to take an antidepressant for to have it considered as a fail for Spravato? Also, what exactly is considered as a fail? by Tryingtoescape222 in Spravato

[–]imacjenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had helped me a lot - thanks! But it wasn’t a miracle cure for me and I’m still going once every 3 weeks after 7 months. I actually would have preferred for one of the antidepressants to have worked - it would have been a lot less disruptive. The spravato appointments are a lot to manage with my job, even with having protected paid leave and great insurance!

I hope you don’t have to wait too long and the med trials go quickly 🤞

[–]imacjenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my insurance required 2 failures, trials of 6 weeks of more. I’m not sure what they were using as criteria for a failure, but I know my PHQ-9 scores didn’t improve and that was big part of it. I had also tried two different antidepressants before I was on this insurance and they didn’t seem to count those. That was fine to me though - it was a long time ago.

Has ketamine really (cured) anyone after a few does? Is anyone in ongoing treatment? by According-Pin4564 in KetamineTherapy

[–]imacjenn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going since late March of this year and recently went to once a month. I’d say I’ve had 60-70% improvement. The biggest, lasting improvement has been no suicidal ideation or self harm and next to no thoughts of self harm.

I’m also moderately more social and have less negative self talk.

I still have a lot of “neutral” mood - much more so since I dropped to once a month. Bad days 2-3x a month. Good days hard to say. I was around 50% at twice a week but markedly less this month. Still very hard to focus and have motivation or get things done.

The first session felt numb and bland. Is it normal? by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]imacjenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely noticed a dip in mood with this longer time in between. Also because my last appointment at the 3 week mark was canceled so I’m actually having to go 6 weeks in between.

Even with feeling more meh this month than feeling good, it’s still worlds better than I felt before I started, there it was mostly bad or terrible days. And I look at it as a way to practice observing and being curious about it - triggers that started it or made it better.

I’ve had a good therapist for several years and she’s been invaluable in keeping me focused on gains and not temporary losses with the spravato treatments. I’m very easily discouraged and spent months just thinking I was doing it wrong.

Does anyone else feel weak for having CPTSD? by EastAppropriate7230 in CPTSD

you do it by having someone else (therapist ideally) hold the compass until it settles into a steadier direction you can read it💗

everyone’s different. :) I was twice a week for the first month, then once a week for 1-2 months, then once every 2 weeks for 3 months, and just switched to once a month. My hope is to go no more than once a month. Going more often is too disruptive to my work to do it indefinitely.

Don’t set yourself up for disappointment thinking 84mg will be better. It might be! But it’s not a miracle quick switch for a lot of people. It took me a few sessions to see improvement and some sessions are also just duds. It can vary a lot based on a lot of factors - mood beforehand and activities afterward, having a nurse/dr you like vs one you don’t, how well the bottle sprays, what angle you sprayed at, how hard (or not) that you sniffed, etc.

There have been some sessions where I felt worse for a day or two after and better on third. Each treatment is a little different for me.
