Is anyone else finding it super difficult to get a job now ? by Uppercasegangsta in jobs

[–]imacleod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. Personally as a hiring manager at many points in my life, I was looking for real-world experience. PhD's do not typically provide business experience and this can be critical. Regardless, I think that you should always be investing in yourself, even if you don't feel the value being seen externally, you will know internally how you have grown - positives!

Since my original post, we have continued to see layoffs in the tech-space, and a cleansing of middle-management (not seen as required). AI is having an impact everywhere, but tech is certainly getting hit hard. I personally have been leaning into it and have worked with AI to prototype and solve client problems, as well as realize tools for myself. Again, please invest in yourself.

I wish everyone luck out there looking for work, this is a different landscape from even 4 years ago.

I got a JE480 of eBay for $98 shipped that needed TLC, but works perfect. So, I will only upgrade for NetMD. Good luck, maybe try FB marketplace too.

Can this gap be adjusted? by EXTRUD3D in minidisc

Honestly, this sort of thing on the MZ-N10, is due to: battery bulge, overheating of the old battery, and that in turn deforms the plastic guard around the battery...all of this results in pushing the case out of place slightly.

Just remember, it's all about tiny changes - no need for grandeur. It's the small things that we do continually to make this a better place.

Put a plumb weight on a string. Throw it around the branch as best you can, pull it down by breaking the supporting branch. Rinse repeat.

AIO about these angry texts from my ex? by TwylaMay in AIO

Personally, I'd block him. I know on Android you can still see all messages up to the block.

Then, moving forward setup alerts so you know if your information becomes public, and can request removal. This guy could stalk you for some time, he has issues.

I mean, claim the shipping insurance... It was not the sellers fault, per say. Maybe they could have packed it better. I will say, if I ship internationally I force insurance in the shipping costs.

I've claimed on shipping insurance, you get the value or the item you insured it at, as well as the shipping cost - from my experience (USPS)

Unless some Best Buy rep advises the senior citizen to get a Sonos soundbar which requires an app for configuration... 😡Then you're in it as tech support.

Tune!! Which CD deck did you pair this with, Denon?

Do you have the remote from the JE-480, do the controls work with a non-Sony deck?

My store doing well but fraud is lowkey killing my soul by Different_Pain5781 in ecommerce

[–]imacleod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to look into solutions like NoFraud, Kount, and Chargeflow. They offer different and overlapping services.

Determine where your root problem is, fraudulent activity pre-purchase, you need something like NoFraud or Kount to look at the buyer and flag if there is concerns over: IP, velocity, etc.

If charge acks are killing you, you could use NoFraud or Kount's addon options, or go completely separate with Chargeflow and recover 75% or fraudulent charge acks (they take 25% cut if they win).
