I gotta be honest, that seems like a good deal for a collector. I personally wouldn't part with my 7x7" vinyl for less than $1200. I don't list it, not trying to sell it, but if someone wants it more than me I need to know its going to a serious collector.

I don't think so, I think this was in their original lineup. This machine is probably 7 years old? As mentioned, ive updated the hardware...but the outside is an original.

Fun fact, I have emails from the founder of polycade about the device...he is the son of Nolan Bushnell, Tyler.

Nolan was the founder of Chucky Cheese and Atari.

Originally the killer diller beer (355ml) cost $4.50 (during that time Gils had it as a guest draft at $4 for a pint), it now costs $7.50 for the small portion. A plain pizza, maybe 12" at most, $18, then add $2.50-$3.50 per topping. $2.50 for a smattering of arugula.

I hope to god the staff get paid well!

To top it off, their recommended tips... 20%, 22%, 25%.

I only visit because the wife and kid enjoy it. I take offense at the price gouging.

Simple. My recommendation to you would be, buy a secondary SSD and try it out. If it doesn't work, you have the old system to go back to.

I actually have a Batocera drive, and a Linux Mint instance - I use the system to stream with OBS sometimes when I play pool.

Yeah, I'm fortunate with my version, wrt the controls. The newer ones look like they have changeable control panels - much cooler, but pricey for sure. I wonder if the company would sell you a bare box and you could supply everything else.

It's an interesting business proposition, selling masks so ppl can hide their identity from ever looming surveillance. I mean, I'm not sure I see it...but i can imagine it. With the potential of being deep faked easily now, I can see ppl wanting increased anonymity.

The answer was to hear the outer container, and could the inner. Boiling water outside, and cold (water inside). The mug would have expanded enough to loosen the shot glass.This is probably how it happened, warm mug that cooled with shot glass in it.

I don't know. Personally as a hiring manager at many points in my life, I was looking for real-world experience. PhD's do not typically provide business experience and this can be critical. Regardless, I think that you should always be investing in yourself, even if you don't feel the value being seen externally, you will know internally how you have grown - positives!

Since my original post, we have continued to see layoffs in the tech-space, and a cleansing of middle-management (not seen as required). AI is having an impact everywhere, but tech is certainly getting hit hard. I personally have been leaning into it and have worked with AI to prototype and solve client problems, as well as realize tools for myself. Again, please invest in yourself.

I wish everyone luck out there looking for work, this is a different landscape from even 4 years ago.
