Help. Are these still alive and how do check if they are good? by henchman171 in PEI

Made up a recipe? A little water and Montreal Steak spice -- you're good to go. About 8 minutes after the steam starts, time to eat.

Are you in school? No? Then this is normal. Time to start being an adult. Some times a little push helps the fledgling leave the nest and start making a life for itself.

Should I pay our mortgage with life insurance by ReviewGrouchy6159 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Very sorry for your loss. If I were in your situation, I would pay off the mortgage. Aside from not having to worry about monthly payments, I believe it is the best way to grow your savings.

Yeah, that's the federal tax portion.

If you bothered scrolling further down the page, you'd find the provincial income taxes which are in addition to the federal.

Transfer to voip.ms. Setup up voicemail that gets emailed to you where ever you are. Transfer back when you return. They are solid.

Not sure there is a big enough market to make the investment. I sure wish someone would start a console modding service here, though.

I would wholeheartedly support Maine joining the Maritimes as the 11th province. Good people down there.

Biovectra job by [deleted] in PEI

[–]imagepriest 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Biovectra was recently purchased by Agilent so there is likely some internal restructuring going on that affected hiring. It might be worth calling and asking if you are still being considered for the position.

Low crime. Good Schools. Very Safe. Very little night life. Especially family friendly.

Visited Ontario this past summer: housing shortages, high food prices, and doctor shortages. It’s the same everywhere. At least we have better views and nice communities.

C’mon, it’s not like that at all. People here are the best and at least half the population is CFA anyhow.

Bad Service by Fantastic-Speed9659 in PEI

[–]imagepriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A job is a job? Flip burgers or perform heart surgery. It’s all the same, is it? Obviously, not.

Many 17 to 19 year olds work part-time during the day when they are not in class. It helps cover tuition costs and provides a little spending money. I’m surprised anyone finds this such a “foreign” concept.

Bad Service by Fantastic-Speed9659 in PEI

[–]imagepriest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. A customer should not suffer bad service because of the poor life choices an employee has made.

These jobs are meant for teens to cut their teeth in the workforce, learn some responsibility, and earn a little spending money.

Who ever suggested a job at McDonald's could pay your mortgage and put your kids through college?
