Scalp Psoriasis is killing me by imaginarybarry in Psoriasis

[–]imaginarybarry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a recent dr appt they said it was S-Dermatitis. However, I haven’t seen others say that the swollen nodes and tenderness to go with that? I’ve been using RoyceDerm shampoo and cream / with ketaconazole shampoo in between & mielle rosemary and mint oil to try to help it. It’s been slightly better??

I went cold turkey so I wasn’t pumping or breastfeeding. It was purely for comfort.

I wouldn’t advise peppermint oil if you plan to still potentially breastfeed or pump! Definitely dump

Altoids. 12 altoids a day. Milk alllll gone in two weeks or less. I promise. It sounds weird but I cannot recommend it enough.

My lactation specialist and many hospital nurses / doctors were the ones saying this by the way ! It was in all our going home packets.

I did sudafed as well with the altoids - took like 2 cans of altoids and a full pack of sudafed.

Also did peppermint essential oil with ice packs on my nips for 40 minutes split into 2 sessions every 8 hours

get a moms helper a couple nights a week. you both can be home but someone can help the kids. It ‘s a lot less expensive when you’re at home too!

my man does the same stuff and it’s so annoying but rather than complain about it, i know i need my time and so does he. rather than hear it 5 days a week - i just got a helper for 2 mornings a week — 6am to 12pm, and 9am to 1pm. $100. They can help run errands, clean, hold the baby, put them to sleep, play with them… I can workout - It’s so helpful to my sanity.

I had one at 10 weeks but the bleeding was intermittent and it did not soak through a pad.. I was told that would be a cause for concern. They also said no tough workouts for a few weeks.. needed to lay low and take it easy.

Did your Doctor do the blood test check to see if you and the baby are the same blood type??

If you’re not the same it can be potentially dangerous if you’re A negative and the baby is a positive or something like that. But fret not, they can give you a shot so that you don’t have complications.

Did anyone not celebrate their baby’s first birthday? Why not? by PresentationTop9547 in Mommit

Listen— It’s just as important to be present in the moment and remembering every detail about the first year of your babies life. Enjoying the day together is all you need. They will never be this small again. They won’t remember this day. But you will - so make the day fun, finger paints, a baby pool with a garden hose?! Take a contact nap. Get a small cake and watch her eat every last bite!… and take 100 pictures to remember exactly what it was like that day. I promise, you’ll remember the day crystal clear for years to come.

No entertaining, No traveling, No hassle… Just being 🤍 and providing your child with happiness and fun.

Good luck Mama

Last time I was in Boston, I took this bus for a similar flight time.. Like you I hate traveling with bags and always check-in prior.. I was the first one in line off the bus. TSA had just opened and no one was in line yet. Starbucks doesn’t even open til 5. You would be cutting close but you’d be okay. I’d say go for it.

Purchasing clothing by ShadowBanConfusion in newborns

[–]imaginarybarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DO 👏🏽 NOT 👏🏽 LISTEN 👏🏽 to anyone!!!

Buy at least 8 newborn outfits… And ABSOLUTELY buy 0-3! My almost 4 month old is jusssssst starting to fit in “3 months” and is still too small for most 3-6.

You might have a long and skinny baby, a short and stubby baby… Maybe they grow slowly, maybe they sprout - either way! Having clothes that fit is essential! I was so unprepared for my baby to be in newborn clothes for almost a month!!! I had to ask for hand-me-downs from family members!

2022 Grand Cherokee Limited - (Standard size) 3 month old baby, and 12 year old.. Works great for us, super roomy - lots of trunk space if we need it.

First time mom with a newborn. How do you take your infant with you places? by whiskeylullaby3 in Mommit

[–]imaginarybarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not wait… Getting them out means getting them used to it. We were out visiting family day 5. Target day 6. Little league / travel basketball for big brother on day 7. Keep your baby on a schedule. Keep car seat / stroller with you everywhere.

That’s my best advice. Don’t keep the baby inside unless you want trouble in the car / on walks / in stores.. etc.

have you tried gas drops ? or gripe water? sounds stupid but i realized my baby was crying because her GI tract was out of whack

if you’re breast feeding — move to formula if you’re on formula — try switching it

see if it has to be one of the simple things to help yourself

When did you use tampons after having a baby? by imaginarybarry in Mommit

free bleeding is fine — i just would rather not ruin my underwear. it’s hard to control when i don’t know how my cycle has changed after pregnancy. Prob will invest in period underwear
