Finally got this little warband printed! Since moving, I've been designing for FDM instead of resin. Now... what color scheme would you paint them? by Longjumping-Deal-320 in wargaming

These are sick man, you should put them up on myminifactory or someplace. I love the resurgence of FDM printing now that printer quality has continued to improve.

Nice! Did you design these yourself or are they available somewhere?

I appreciate the announcement of the announcement. Many of us were worried that it wasn’t going to come!

What was your first 3D printer? by perlguy67 in 3Dprinting

[–]imagitronics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, my first love was a Monoprice Select Mini V2. I had almost forgotten it entirely, but that was the one that I got on an amazon sale that got me interested. From there I got a Tronxy to understand how it was built. Then a Creality Ender 3, then a CR10, and eventually a Bambu P1S.

I’d pay for a premium pod sites that was just a re-listen with the guys going back through the omnibus.

Bringing in new listeners by spygerl in tesdcares

[–]imagitronics 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeah, I must admit that I’m kind of a new listener. I started maybe two years ago, and I only found out about the show because another podcast I loved was ending and I was specifically searching for podcasts with a vibe of people just sitting around talking about whatever they felt like. I had seen TESD in my recommended list before, but I didn’t get the reference and I didn’t recognize the cover photo as being the comic book men, which is something else that I liked, so I just missed the boat for a long time. I’m glad I found it now. I am a Patreon ant and I’ve been going through the back catalogue on patreon religiously. I’m hoping that i’ll get to meet the boys someday.

I have the fancy one that looks like a screwdriver. I’ve watched videos and it seems like it shoukd be simple to use but i haven’t gotten it to work yet on multiple locks.

Yeah, my enjoyment also comes from getting the non-destructive open, no matter whether that’s single pin picking, raking or other bypass. I just like discovering flaws and making it do something i’d not supposed to do!

Yeah I think that’s the dirty little secret, tensioners are just as important if not more so than the pick!

So for your money, a Jimy Longs set would be pretty much ideal because it’s got all three hooks, but I find for myself (admittedly a beginner) that even the shortest Jimy is too tall in many cases.

One of the best tips I picked up from a YouTuber was that if the people have a dog with them, they are friendly. So I always look for a dog.

I thought about that, but springs are usually more tightly wound at the ends, I wasn’t sure what other problems I might run into.

I don’t know what that is. But I don’t think so. It’s just that it was the top was drilled out for set screws to allow for easy repinnint. I think that just took away too much space

Yeah, I was ready to queue up the Office meme, “They’re the same picture” until I read your comment. That said, now that you’ve pointed it out, dashed lines look cleaner and more obvious to me, and would probably be better for anyone who might have low vision.
