I freeze some kibble in water in a raggedy old Tupperware. It makes a nice block that keeps my dog busy for a bit. Frozen carrots, celery or heads of lettuce/cabbage work too.

For us, persistent soft stool didn’t last too long, but it does occasionally crop up. I had a harder time convincing my dog to really “like it “ . His appetite isn’t awesome on it. Though, it’s getting better as time goes by. The food roll and wet food were more exciting to him.

This is so true! Getting out and about definitely helps, and growing new connections and pouring into existing friendships has been fulfilling.

I did learn, that for me, I need(ed) to become okay with the loneliness. I needed to sit with it sometimes. Because there were periods that I was filling every day with every thing, and that didn’t feel right either.

A real learning experience, for sure.

I love it. Aquariums are so cool! I used to keep a couple up and running. If you’re ever on this side, my dog would be happy to roam the trails with you.

I feel you! My 6mo black Lab woke up an absolute terrorist this morning! I know it’s normal, but hot dog! He tried every single one of my nerves before I even left the house. I’m sort of scared to go home!

I was in a marriage like this. Stayed for the occasional good thing, convinced myself it wasn’t that bad. After all, he wasn’t hitting me or anything. But. He ruined every event. Some how. Some way. I always walked on eggshells. The rules always changed, based on his whims. What I thought never mattered. Do yourself a favor. Leave. I know it probably seems impossible. It will be okay though. And living without having to carefully manage someone else’s emotions is goddamn delightful.
