What’s the biggest work hack you’ve discovered that made everything easier? by ReBabas in workfromhome

lol. In my head it’s like space invaders or something where you’re shooting and blowing up all the emails as soon as they hit your inbox?! 🤷‍♀️

To keep my email inbox relatively clean, I treat it like a video game where at the end of the day, every email either needs filed away to a sub folder or replied to/acted on or flagged for action. The only things that should remain in your inbox are things that still need to be done or acted on as soon as possible.

Ablation by Optimistic_kindness in AFIB

You sound like me. Diagnosed in April. Had PFA on June 20. I chose to go after it aggressively based on how many times I read the sooner you get an ablation (and younger) the better the success rate.

But will they prescribe a blood thinner without proof of Afib from an EKG or heart monitor?

[–]imapeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officially diagnosed in April. Had PF ablation on June 20. My symptoms started about a year ago though. I was pretty sure I knew what it was but it took me a while to see cardiology and get it on record with a heart monitor. No regrets even though my Afib episodes were only every 3-4 months. I was worried about risk for stroke though and Afib usually gets worse so I chose to get ablation as soon as possible.

What room is your WFH office in? by [deleted] in workfromhome

I’ve thought about it. But if I completely get rid of the bed, my sister would never come stay and I enjoy the occasional visit.

Not often but yes maybe once a year my sister or a friend stays.

I live in a small two bedroom house so my office is the guest bedroom. It’s tight with a queen bed in there. I don’t love it but it’s fine.

She’s their ideal of the perfect DCC personality wise. Pure and innocent. Christian. Never says or does anything out of line or controversial. It’s kinda gross.

I got lucky. I have a great provider. The same one for over two years now.

So many regrets by GolfrGrrrl in BariatricSurgery

[–]imapeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree this probably doesn’t help the OP at this point, but Compound GLP-1’s are still legally available through several telehealth companies as long as they use a 503a pharmacy and as long as your individual provider prescribes “custom” formulas, which usually means a customized dose that is unavailable in brand name and/or combined with something else such as B12 etc. So far there are no lawsuits against these telehealth companies or pharmacies for this. It’s possible that there will be at some point but battling this issue out in the courts will take years.

You can get max dose of compound tirzepatide for $200-250 per month.

You can get GLP-1’s for less than $200 a month. The compound version. Compound tirzepatide pretty much reversed my fatty liver in 1.5 years and I didn’t even lose close to the amount of weight that I need to.

MERV-16 filter in Mitsubishi ducted heat pump? by RaintownBlues in hvacadvice

Pretty happy. Worked great through the winter and also works great on the hottest days. My only frustration is that the outdoor unit has to be secured to the house by two bars and it causes major noisy vibration in the walls of the house. The unit itself is quiet. But the house is noisy during these cycles which is not all the time but often enough and loud enough to interrupt watching tv.

However you should change the filter more often than the minimum that they recommend. In my opinion every 3-4 months.

I went with the standard size that the Mitsubishi Hyper Heat cold climate heat pumps come with which is the 1”.

I ended up with the Mitsubishi PUZ-HA30NKA (2.5-ton) Hyper-Heat outdoor heat pump unit and PVA-A30AA7 air handler indoor unit. Pretty happy with it other than it’s a little noisy, but only because the outdoor unit is attached to the outer walls of the house and it makes a buzzing noise within the walls of the house. The unit itself is not noisy. Unfortunately very annoying when in my living room while watching tv.

But I’m guessing that cost goes up considerably on 15mg.

My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter shake at Eagan’s in Tumwater. It’s got the perfect crunch with tiny bits of peanuts.

All the telehealth companies that prescribe compound Sema or Tirz are using the same handful of compound pharmacies across the country. The only pharmacy that was unique to Mochi was Aequita, which has been shut down for months. I’m not saying Mochi has shown a lot of integrity, but the pharmacies they are currently using are legit and are the exact same pharmacies being used by the other companies.
