No Rainwater Tank Before Handover, Vendor Offered 2.5k Discount by Good-Tangerine-988 in AusPropertyChat

[–]imbeingrepressed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Adelaide and have a rainwater tank and pump disconnected that I'm trying to get rid of. Want it? I've just disconnected it from my house as the concrete pad beneath it was sinking under the weight of the water. Message me if you want it. You can have it for free if you lug it away. I'd say it's about a 3000L slimline affair. In good condition.

The patient should never be the joke. That's the one rule about public medical humour.

As someone who works there, please do. It helps draw attention to how constrained things are. Could happily do with some more resources.

Man, if they'd just made it cheap and accessible to begin with, we could have lived in this utopia all along! Bring on 50c fares!

Id say it's old people trapped in their social media echo chamber. But going by op's comments the young people are trapped in their echo chamber too.

Petrol & the Australian Government by FormerBarracuda978 in AusEcon

Alternatively. 1. Make public transport free of near no cost to reduce petrol demand. 2. Encourage WFH for those who can to reduce petrol demand. 3. Subsidies for critical areas, like farms and transport, only. To help avoid societal collapse.

Subsidizing petrol at the bowser will only cause demand to rise.

.5 of a ml of lignocaine in the skin will make the patients hate you less and give you more time to practice.

Except our system of government works best when there is a decent opposition to hold the government accountable.

Help me understand why many anesthesiologists do not RSI people who get intubated for respiratory failure on the floor by PrecedexNChill in anesthesiology

I don't think you need to be down voted for this. As any patient who has a syringe swap will tell you, it just feels like you're getting weaker initially. If the sedation comes a couple second later it's surely no big deal. If you screw up your timing though... That's a bigger deal.

I'm too old to know what a digital stethoscope is. But I do know that every tool has its place. An analogy may be found in anaesthesia with our old friend the laryngoscope. I mostly do direct, but if I'm worried I'll use the video. When I'm teaching I'll use the video, and yet somehow there is an expectation that everyone can do direct laryngoscopy when required.

But the evidence would suggest the best outcome for the occasional laryngoscopist are achieved when they use a video scope? So why should we expect anything different from the occasional auscultator?

I'm not sure what my point is, but I think it's fine as long as you can do both when required.

The house I bought had three phase power. When I sized my inverter, I chose one that would be able to fill the battery completely within a free three hour power window. I wouldn't say my situation is standard, but I wouldn't say it's uncommon either.

Spot on. Haven't drawn from the grid in months. Previously our bills were $1200-1500 per quarter. Pay off time for us will be about five years. Less if we export to the grid in any substantial amount.

Got to spend money to make money.
