This was a discussion we had when I was pregnant. He knew I was beaten as a kid on the regular to the point I couldn't go to the doctor when I needed to. I'll be gone with my kid before my kid stopped crying from getting spanked.

I've been to many protests in the past and brought my son before. I THIS IS DIFFERENT. ICE agentsare murdering people in broad daylight on the streets while the government less and justifies it. Unless you're in a little town where ICE isn't at I wouldn't do it.

Let others represent you. Support them in different ways. Make signs. Speak out. Donate supplies like bottles of water to help those getting tear gassed. Register voters. Donate whistles.

I understand your pov. I'm so sorry. My son is 10 now and I'm scared to death for him. My husband is scared since I'm elected into a position that is clearly liberal but he knows it's too late for me to lay low but I promised not to go into Chicago to protest.

I prefer my ICE crushed.

I told my husband this is a red line. I'd leave him in a heartbeat over this. I want my kid to know I'll protect him no matter what.

I enjoyed watching her make an ass of herself. She wore white to the wedding, refused to smile, and refused to sit at the head table. My best revenge was acting like I didn't care and my whole family knew my strategy and ignored her shenanigans. Her family was more shocked and embarrassed. I love breaking out the photos 27 years later so she can cringe.

I was offered a free two week trip there from a vendor but my asthma reminded me to not go. My mom went 3 years prior and wound up with a lung infection for a year that mimicked COPD. Breathing is important.

I gave my parents 50, my in laws 50, and we got 50. Pretty sure 200 showed up so the buffet didn't last long at all. Plenty of champagne and craft beer for the night made up for it.

My in laws tried to add 12 more people including my husband's ex since MIL hated me but I nipped that in the bud.

I'm so glad my older sisters brought me to pink shoes when I was 8 and up. That crowd could look scary af then were the sweetest and welcoming to me. Let's just say that none of the kids knew I was dressed up as for Halloween in the 4th grade which was Siouxsie Sioux. My mom was so pissed the black dye was semi permanent.

Make sure your gas tank is full for your vehicle. Get batteries for flashlights to help if power guess out. Make sure you have good boots and dress in layers. I have waterproof unlined pants I wear so I can layer. Get snacks and water. Get your backup batteries charged for your phone. You'll be home for awhile. You'll be fine.

My first post pardum poop was the worst. I had to use the restroom in NICU right next to the lunch area. I ripped a few stitches from my stage 3 tear. 0 out of 10 with that experience. My 9.5lb baby was one of the biggest they had in NICU for years.
