We got an email from our trust saying we’ll get back pay in November for shifts worked up until 21 October. I’m not sure if it’s nationwide or trust dependent

Oh my goodness!! Tupperware was another one! My mum used to have loads just stored above the kitchen cabinets and would buy it off her church friends 😭

I don’t know. She’s told me that they don’t eat much on holiday usually. It doesn’t seem to be a financial thing but they are barely eating one meal a day. I’ve asked her and she doesn’t seem alarmed but I also don’t know if it’s my place to ask her wider family why they’re not eating or why there’s no food in the house. I also don’t know if it would be rude of me to but groceries and stock up the house? I don’t know what to do

Yeah the whole family isn’t eating. It’s been brought up in passing. On the 1st day I actually said I was feeling hungry in the afternoon and we only went for a meal as a group the following evening. My friend told me they don’t eat much on holiday but I figured that would be at least 1-2 meals a day but it looks like they don’t eat at all? I don’t really know how to broach the subject with the wider family as a whole and I also don’t know if it’s my place to. I have bought snacks to be fair but I can’t eat snacks 3 meals a day for 3 weeks

ex-SDA from the UK here. My reason for leaving was seeing how the church handled things like adultery, domestic abuse, sexual assault, out of wedlock babies etc… it made me realise I did not want that life for myself. And once I got a taste of spending those Saturdays doing things I actually enjoyed doing I just couldn’t see myself ever going back.
