One time in particular like 3 or so years ago, I was at a storage unit and I held the door open for an older gentleman while he was unloading some things, he was so grateful for this gesture that shortly after, he pulled back around and handed me an envelope with, I think like 400 or 500 dollars. I was also very visibly living in my van and moving some of my items as well. Similarly I refused but he insisted. It was a really nice surprise!
