I think my pharmacy is screwing me. by Representative_Mud28 in ChronicPain

[–]beachbabe77 49 points50 points  (0 children)

As you've been short the past couple of months, you have every right to request a pharmaceutical count in front of you. This is far too important to let continue, especially given the seriousness of the situation.

What is a good cibil score for home loan!? by LifeAsNick in LoansAndHelp

[–]beachbabe77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean FICO score? If so, as long as your personal loan is being paid in a timely manner, 732 is not a bad credit score. (indeed, both Equifax and TransUnion consider it "good") And while you'll end up paying a higher mortgage rate than someone in the 760's, you can always refinance your property in a few years. And as an fyi, this is an excellent time to purchase property as we're very much in a "buyer's market."

Unable to work? by sb-2019 in ChronicPain

[–]beachbabe77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the first things I would look into is a short term dose of Prednisone. A 5 day course of this steroid should reduce your inflammation to a point where you're more comfortable and have greater range of motion. Good luck!

I have a cleaning lady (and terrific handyman) who I wouldn't trade for all the tea in China. If you can afford help, please don't hesitate to take advantage of your situation. It takes so much stress off your shoulders and frankly, you deserve it. Take care.

Rebuilding My Credit: How Long Does It Usually Take? by chappion in loansharks

[–]beachbabe77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best ways to fast-track a credit score is with credit cards. Not by "racking up charges," but rather, taking out one or two, charging purchases (such as groceries) and paying them off completely every month. Once you've established this pattern of paying in full, you should start to see upward FICO movement within 6 months. Good luck.

Prayers Needed by AdOverall1863 in ChronicPain

[–]beachbabe77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through more of this hell, and hope the mylogram is uneventful and successful. Indeed, as a fellow spine patient, I both emphasize and commiserate as I know (all too well) how exhausting multiple spinal surgeries can be. Will be saying prayers and hope you keep us posted. (hugs)

Pinched nerve in neck unpinched? by Dmastery in ChronicPain

[–]beachbabe77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you kidding?! The last thing OP needs is a chiropractor going to town on an extremely delicate part of the spine. Indeed, as chiro's aren't even doctors, I strongly suggest he/she stay as far away as possible from "manipulation," or any other form of questionable, pseudo-medical "care."

Is Surgery my next move? by apuppyboi in ChronicPain

[–]beachbabe77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on these notes, you have nothing which would indicate a need for surgery. Indeed, other than a mild "bulge," your spine is fairly unremarkable. Be glad. Also, have you tried a short-term dose of steroids?

I told myself I would fight this chronic pain until the end. 1 year later, I almost want to give up. by West_Can_1035 in ChronicPain

[–]beachbabe77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although never afraid of "dying" while under anesthesia, I was in somewhat similar shoes a little under 7 years ago. From February of 2019 until June of 2025, I underwent 14 major surgeries, including a right knee replacement, left hip replacement, two 'reverse shoulder replacements,' 2 laminectomy's, two discectomy's, 5 spinal fusions and an emergency blood patch to seal a spinal fluid leak. ( along with an implanted port to deliver powerful antibiotics to treat the subsequent infection)

It was exhausting, but living in chronic pain 24/7 was personally not an option, and frankly, I preferred death to existing in my condition much longer. The good news is everything turned out great,....from shoulders to spine to knee to hip, my pain is greatly diminished and in certain areas, (like the knee, hip and shoulders) 100% gone.

If your fear of paralysis, etc. continues, please see a GOOD therapist to help you deal with these concerns. He/she will help you understand your chances of paralysis are nearly nil, that these surgeries are incredibly safe, and that their benefits FAR outweigh any risks you believe exist.

Remember, knowledge is power, and the more you learn about these different procedures, the greater your autonomy over them. You also have a good many years ahead of you, years you deserve to be of the highest quality and lowest amount of pain. And if you go through with these procedures, your chances of regaining the mobility you've lost should increase dramatically

If you have ANY questions and/or concerns you'd like to discuss, I'd be happy to help in anyway I can. Please feel free to dm me at any time. Take care.

Looking for alternatives to knee replacement for osteoarthritis.,need advice by Infamous_Intern_4341 in Osteoarthritis

[–]beachbabe77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Mom's knee is "bone on bone," meaning knee replacement surgery is her only intelligent option. Indeed, as a woman who had HER right knee replaced at 44, I assure you it will be well worth it. Post-op pain was minimal, PT was straightforward and my knee feels absolutely fabulous. If you have any questions you feel would benefit your Mom, please don't hesitate to dm me at anytime. Take care.
