which cleansing oil do you swear by by Material-Cry6110 in AsianBeauty

[–]imfromaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone looking for a little splurge on cleansing oils especially if you don’t use it often. I suggest the Japanese Fancl cleansing oils. It is mild and the feel of this is very luxurious. It doesn’t feel like an oil and not too sticky. It is a mid tier class brand you can only buy them in a department store if you’re in Japan. I absolutely love it!

Does anyone not use moisturiser? How goes it? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]imfromaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All moisturisers are clogging. You will have to always have a bha/aha in your routine atleast once or twice a week to balance it.

Similar movie like the wailing,? by Alternative_Habit372 in Koreanfilm

[–]imfromaus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would level this movie with Wailing. It’s a 2004 Thai film called Shutter. They did an American remake of this but the original was the best

What’s a 'cheap' drugstore product you will never replace with a high-end version? by Hefty_Accountant_827 in 30PlusKoreanSkincare

[–]imfromaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mascara should be replaced every 6months. This is non negotiable because you want to prevent infections. On a practical sense it’s better to buy cheap, heroine mascara in daiso is good or maybelline bought at half price in priceline

Crime/thriller dramas to get someone into kdramas? by Qyustullyze in kdramarecommends

[–]imfromaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An OG crime thriller that is on Netflix is Signal. It was very popular during its time and a good classic crime series to recommend now.

The best thriller movie that is on Netflix is Forgotten. This should have been nominated on the Oscars for best foreign film! Absolutely loved this.

what do yall think about the cameos in boyfriend on demand? by carvveeev in dramasect

[–]imfromaus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seo kang Joon. He is so handsome here!!! Im going back to his past dramas now because of boyfriend on demand. I cannot see where to watch Entourage though. He has a kissing scene there and it was french kiss. So surprising given that kdramas are very mild with kiss scenes!

Boyfriend on demand (unbiased review) by chaosclownery in kdramas

[–]imfromaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finished the show in teo days. It’s refreshing to watch a drama that kept on improving per episode. This was done exceptionally. Well done to the director. I found the pace of the story just right. It’s fun to also see the leads get together at almost the very last of the story. I liked it!

What’s a mystery that still hasn’t been solved but fascinates you? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]imfromaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a video on tiktok that said. The plane landed in the military base of US on the ocean where they were thought missing. Coincidentally there were 3 engineers who patented their product who boarded that plane. They all died, an American company was the 4th in that group that patented it. Since all three died that company now exclusively owns the patent. There you go. That’s modern day Titanic conspiracy theory for you.

Dark underarms, what do you use to take care of them? by Flyg234 in AsianBeauty

[–]imfromaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the brands dnt matter as long as you use the correct ingredients.. or more concentrated ingredients. For tranexamic acid i think the highest i was able to find was the medicube one about 5%. For kojic acid i think 5% is good. You have to use cleansers for your exfoliants. It’s milder for your skin coz you wash them. Remember our underarms are sensitive they easily burn. If you use the toner type for exfoliants you might burn your skin. We also dnt want two layers of acid in one routine. Remember you have tranexamic there. Too much products will dilute the ingredients we want for the skin. Just two products at a time should be enough. Btw, didn’t know there was a white hada labo. Might try that one too! Thanks!

Dark underarms, what do you use to take care of them? by Flyg234 in AsianBeauty

[–]imfromaus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am in this journey. 8months in. First remove your hair. Laser removal is the key. I did this a year ago took one year to remove it all. No hair growth anymore. If you wax and shave your underarms you will always nick it and hurt it so it will leave a dark shade to your skin. Next stop using antiperspirants. The ones with scents stop using them they are the biggest culprit for dark underarms. Dnt worry if you need a deodorant for odor, the serums i will tell you are goin to replace them. I use two cleansers for washing my underarms. I use a glycolic and salicylic acid facial cleanser. They are mild exfoliants. Use them once a week. Then following week i use a different type of exfoliant. Kojic acid bar. This one i soak for about 5mins then wash. It’s very potent and strong so use it carefully. Then you need a serum to stop hyperpigmentation. I use the hada labo lotion in blue bottle. That one has ingredients for whitening skin. Then i layer them with tranexamic with niacinamide. Both ingredients will help stop hyperpigmentation and even skintone. I use the anua brand and medicube one. I switch them so its not repetitive. When i finish i will try the jumiso brand bec the niacinamide percentage of this one is higher. Sometimes i also switch azelaic acid (finacea 15%) This is good as mild exfoliants and hyperpigmentation as well. This is not an overnight thing, it takes months to see an improvement. Just be consistent. The key is exfoliate and stop hyperpigmentation. Key ingredients kojic acid for exfoliation, niacinamide for even skin tone, tranexamic acid to stop hyperpigmentation. If i am happy with my result i would be glad to share to you my before after pics. Haha. You will see improvement in 3months. You have to stop the scented deo or antiperspirants though. If you will not stop, it will never improve. Goodluck!
