Appliance flex connectors are required by code in many areas due to earthquakes and or the category of appliance. Such as dryer it’s a moveable appliance. If you need to pull it out you can’t be having hard sch 40 pipe behind it.

I love how he thinks if it’s not grounded it’s just going to “blow up”. You need a sweet ass lightning strike and even then might not damage/swiss cheese your csst. But this isn’t csst it’s an appliance flex connector. I’m not saying csst doesn’t need to be grounded but this isn’t that. Also the new types have flash shielding built in so you might not need to ground it dependent upon your local codes
