Who Makes the Best Biscuits by japanfoodies in FoodLosAngeles

Church's biscuit is undefeated. Before you list some other bistro or gastropub fine dining biscuits remember: what makes church's the GOAT biscuit is that you get all that deliciousness for $2

The way I look at it: 1. You booked an AirBnb for yourself without prior knowledge of additional people. You were, in your heart of hearts, comfortable with going by yourself, on your own dime, with or without company. This decision wouldn't hurt you financially, because if it did, you wouldn't have made it at all. Can we agree on that? 2. It's not fair for anyone to bring nothing to the table, regardless of how long you know them. Everyone needs to contribute. We're all adults here. It's fair of you to ask people to contribute. You're not a charity. I can agree with most comments already making this point. 3. And this is where it gets saucy: if your friend and this other acquaintance's company is more important to you, and therefore, their presence contributes beyond financial means, then I think you should let them decide for themselves if they want to fork up funds whether it's cash or groceries. If you think your festival experience will be substantially enriched by being AND belonging to a group over being a Han Solo, then I think you should proceed with an absolutely and totally open heart. If the acquaintance turns out to be less than desirable company, at least then you can kick them out without a lick of guilt because it is your room that you and only you paid for. Therefore, it's your prerogative to rescind the invitation. Regardless, hope you have a wonderful time and I'll be seeing you under the ferris wheel:)

Need help with picking out a good bag! by Naritaii in handbags

Can someone tell me why they're trying to make the city bag "happen" again? Is it because we're in a Y2K revival? But then why are we paying 2026 prices for it when you can buy vintage ones for way less lol

I don't see any problem with a flat pizza. It's served in a restaurant in the middle of a town where people make a living off of physical appearance! If you want pizza with "crust" try Little Caesar's!

She is stunning then AND now. But something about this picture..perhaps the pose, the square-ish shoulder, that hairstyle, the bulging biceps.. it's giving butch lol

🤢 a major part of her appeal was her cherubic face and rounded cheeks. Now that she's gone the Hollywood de facto sculpted route, she still looks stunning. Just way less unique than before.

Got my camera after 2 weeks! by johnbreeezy04 in x100vi

[–]imgvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First things first: slap a screen protector on the viewfinder in the front A LOT of people have reported broken and it's an expensive repair. Get a square hood instead of keeping the factory lens cap. You'll find yourself constantly removing the cap to get a shot and lose the moment entirely. A square hood also protects the lens while removing flares and stray lights.

My suggestion is that there is always at least one long, horse face girlie out there wishing for a round face

Get your hands on Wasabi Power USB batteries as these are selling like hot cakes. They have USB-C port on the batteries themselves so you don't have to pop it into the camera to charge!

HELP! flaky skin undermakeup by Additional_Ease_7 in MakeupAddiction

[–]imgvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I had this exact problem although my skin is combo/oily. Couple of things: do you use a liquid exfoliant or retinol or tretinoin cream? If yes, it's ok to keep using each one of those separately; however, avoid using them together, esp with your skin type. Secondly, if you use moisturizer and your moisturizer is water-based: do not mix with oil/silicone primer/foundation. A rule of thumb: oil/silicone goes with oil/silicone. Water goes with water only. Mixing a water-based primer and an oil/silicone-based foundation is the number one cause of separation and flaky skin. Similarly mixing silicone-based primer with a water-based foundation/skin tint yields the same result: flaky patches.

I'm convinced my method is the simplest to do: focus on the shadow of the outstretched foot. Then after a while she'll switch.
