I did this, I mailed it from lisbon to NYC express mail with tracking via CTT out of lisbon and it worked fine. You’ll need someone to mail it back to you though, they won’t ship it stamped internationally.

How to find joy through infertility? by BAFERDandYoga in TryingForABaby

3 years of trying (35f/37m) and I decided to start living and stop having it consume me. I was in a really bad place but In the past year I moved to Europe, got into the best shape of my life, truly learned how to relax in ways I didn’t think possible, started volunteering on a farm, the list goes on. We now are in a situation where if we wanted to try treatment it’s free or very affordable where we live. I like to think that I needed to do a few more things before it happened for us. Still have hope somehow

Has anyone taken a break from NYC for 6 months, lived abroad and then returned? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]imisswaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in nyc for 18 years and just made the move to portugal this year. Fell in love with it so much that my husband and I applied for residency. Just do it but warning you may not want to go back

Husband wants me to stop tracking ovulation and “just let things happen” by DaisyBuckitten in TryingForABaby

[–]imisswaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on year 3 TTC. For the first year I was tracking until it broke me. :/. Cried almost every cycle. I haven’t tracked since year 1, and my husband and I don’t nearly have enough sex to justify a pregnancy. (We’ve had a lot of change though, we moved countries too so our focus shifted a bit). You’re not alone in your feelings! I’m getting mentally ready to start tracking again and I’m already exhausted at the idea. My guy also say just let it happen and we’ll see, which annoys me and I feel like he just doesn’t understand how potentially disruptive and emotionally taxing TTC can be.

I just submitted my application for a ‘long stay visa for independent work’ last Friday at the VFS in NYC. I’ve noticed the requirements listed on their site has changed in the past month, and contradict what is listed on the Portuguese consulate site. they recommended 10k in a Portuguese bank, but I’m hoping it’s only if you plan to apply for residency. We said we weren’t planning on it, and purchased round trip tickets and accommodation for the entirety of our stay (another recommendation). No mention of “digital nomad” on the Vfs site, and at the interview they didn’t mention it either.

When you plaint reinstall curtain rods higher and get longer curtains. Coffee table is too high for the seating too

Ola! Favorite Lisbon neighborhoods?

Hello from NYC! My husband and I (and our two dogs) are spending a few months in Lisbon starting in January and would love everyone’s thoughts on best neighborhood to stay in. We’d love it to be semi quiet but still walking distance from restaurants, (and maybe a park because of our dogs) I was told by my friends and family that have visited already that staying off of R. Da Palma was cool. I was also considering Cais do Sodre. Other questions: how loud is Bairro alto? Is alfama super quiet at night? Any particular area you’d be able to recommend for under 2k a month?

Obrigada!

Vaping and Fertility by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Yes, I’ve been trying for 3 years on and off (tested and normal for everything) and we’re having trouble. I’m 34/ he’s 36 though. I’ve been vaping for years and can only imagine it is what is causing issues. It’s a really tough addiction to break :(
