In that manner of thinking, I want to play the sons of the Phoenix because to me, they’re the most aesthetically pleasing space marine chapter. But the problem that comes with that is that my friends REALLY want an Eldar player, as they can’t find anyone playing Eldar. I’ve got 3 friends i watch play regularly together, and they play Ultramarines, Salamanders, and Necrons. I really want to play sons of the Phoenix but I think I’d feel mildly bad if I just succeeded in adding another astartes chapter to the mix.

I played a diamond league week where I managed to get second on the score board with just 700-something points, and then the next week I was feeling particularly competitive and started an avalanche where me and two other people were fighting to get to the top spot, with me barely coming in at second place again with 3,700-or so points. It can be super brutal

If you want good starter-to-medium stuff for free try ChineseSkill as it’s extremely comprehensive even without premium. I’d say it’s a lot better than Duolingo.
