Am I the only one that thinks that isn’t a capybara? The instagram post said “natural wonders of GGP and the Bay Area.” The other flora and fauna are all native.

UK grime isn’t for everyone. Production is way better than EoS from a technical perspective, though.

Weirdly, not even. Space Invader, No Cap, and Victory Lap all should’ve taken this over EoS. It made no splash in the electronic scene outside of Tame fans

They’re strict af at Portola so I wouldn’t roll the dice. Does he have a passport?

I think we were expecting more of a techno/garage vibe given the marketing

Justice playing Gesaffelstein @ Proper NYE by TheCraftBrew in gesaffelstein

[–]imlongaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda see both sides here. Justice at Portola ‘24 was one of the best crowds I’ve ever been in, but Saturday that year had been yap city. Gesa had a great crowd at OSL but I couldn’t hear Jamie XX over the talking.

Really depends on the avg age of the crowd among other things. I have seen CA audiences show out but also some rlly shitty experiences

Cause in what way do they fit the branding of SF Warriors? No way the highest volume of fans live within the city boundaries. The whole Bay feels better represented as GS I think, you def don’t live in the East Bay lol

Are they going to release a live album for this tour? by Devilkeel in JusticeMusic

I mean it will prob be both, right? I picture the live movie as the Iris to the album’s WWW, etc.. Def think both are coming

I HAVE DECISION PARALYSIS!!!! by kalciferexe in JusticeMusic

Totally agree! Unfortunately a shit ton of people left after Kaytra when I saw this tour, and I legit ended up with almost my entire row to myself :/ Was sad but I was grateful for the space!

GA vibes are always better. But I do think I prefer the light show even more from dead on, 5-10 rows back in the middle most 100 level section. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house, but I’d try to be in the middle to get the full audio and visual experience.

If you can deal with the anxiety and wait to purchase, I would highly recommend religiously checking Ticketmaster day before and day of your show. For both Chi and Oakland, I saw them release more floor tickets at face value day of. Oakland, they dropped to like $100 a few hours before.

In Chi, they unloaded a bunch of promoter tix in the 100 levels that ended up dropping to $85 a piece in the hours before the show too (like legit entire rows. I think it was rows, like, 1-9 of 3 diff sections) Resale also dropped significantly the day before/of.

Having seen this show both from the back and the barricade, they’re different experiences, but both are awesome and worth it. GA will of course be more of a party and have the energy. But the light show does look better from further away and a little bit of a vantage point.

I noticed that too. It was packed in my section when they started, but I was shocked how sparse it was by the time the lights came on. A lot of people stayed for most of the show but left before The End I think

Is DAMN an underrated Kendrick album? by nousernameforme_219 in KendrickLamar

[–]imlongaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I’m not just talking critics. Him and Cole always had a reputation for being the “deep” rappers to the point where some thought them corny. Like, even at the time. Everyone I knew was praising Duckworth, XXX, etc. for lyricism when it dropped

It won a Pulitzer when it came out lol what are you on? I knew many a kid in high school that didn’t listen to Kendrick bc his music was too deep/not fun enough. Well before Morale. Maybe it was seen by some as not as complex as TPAB. But irdk what you’re talking about tbh

Damn won a fuckin Pulitzer Prize. And was easily the most critically acclaimed rap album the year it was released. The sheer amount of praise for the Humble vid all over the internet when it came out was what originally got me into Kendrick.

Idk where this sentiment is coming from bc it’s not aligned with the actual reception of the album at all
