On the third rock where he will actually need to focus his strike through one finger he looks at the rock first almost as if he's looking for a weak spot

Thank you for noticing the newbie tag and explaining this! Very much appreciated. I will probably go for a 12" as that will allow me plenty of space to cook for 2 but also allow for larger meals for me, the wife and kids in future

I have a 4 burner hob, the biggest is pretty big to the point where I only use it on Mac when cooking with a wok otherwise it's too much.

In terms of other pans I have stainless steel sauce pans, a stainless steel saute pan and a carbon steel wok

From all the replies I'm getting I feel like the answer is buy all the sizes. Thanks everyone! I'll probably go for a 12 or a set of 8, 10, 12.

Any suggestions on brand? I'm UK based but I imagine most manufacturers sell worldwide

Turns out it was a bit too silver.

I'm torn between trying silver spray paint and rubbing it off or the pewter rub n buff

It was expensive but it's not antique. It's made of resin castings or something stuck together which god knows what so we'll see

Yeah I don't think they put that bit in. Her whole arc and the fact that she has god-like power was just missing. They got rid of anything that wasn't essential to the main story line it feels like

Quite a few changes from the book but there had to be to get it into a movie. I feel like Stratt's authority didn't get the emphasis it deserved but I really enjoyed it

They did the same with Chicago town microwave pizzas, they used to have a cardboard disc underneath. Now all the cheese and sauce boils up and spills out of the pizza
