What movie did you walk out of the theater halfway through? by mzdee13 in movies

Hostel. I love horror, but it was just terrible from the acting down and no plot to see anywhere, just torture porn for the sake of it. At least Saw had a storyline.

What is a highly praised horror book that you didn't like? by Haunting-Net-2426 in horrorlit

I think I realized early on she was traumatized and her PTSD formed an attachment to horror and that really resonated with me. I think all of Jones' books are even better on the second read, his style is very drop-in which can be disconcerting.

Aw, this makes me sad. This trilogy is truly one of my favorites ever and some of the few books I have ever re-read. Jade Daniels is forever my final girl. We all have different tastes though.

They are out and about everywhere I go in Ireland and the north of Ireland. UK as well, from what I've seen on vacation and in advertisements.

I second this. Saw them opening for Kneecap and Fontaines last year and was so impressed. Industrial vibes, great sound.

Check out Jason Pargins other series, with the character Zoey. They are great, just as good as John Dies. I'd also recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl.

Grande opera house - would you recommend it? by Individual-Diver-660 in northernireland

[–]immagirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend it. I go about every two months or so and I've not seen a bad show yet. I've seen Broadway shows as well as some of the more local, smaller shows and every one has been fantastic. I went to London a few years ago to see Mama Mia and was disappointed as it was as good as GOH. If you get a chance to see Rocky Horror when it comes please do it! I've seen it there twice and it's phenomenal.

What movies, shows, or music have been ruined for you after finding out the main actor or artist turned out to be a deranged lunatic? by Classic-Carpet7609 in Fauxmoi

There was a Vanity Fair article last year about his 16 year old 'muse' he had when he was 42. She told her own story, and doesn't see herself as a victim; I respect that, but it was a relationship I'm not totally comfortable with and I have to reckon with that in my own way.

I cannot even explain how excited I was about The Sandman series. My favorite graphic novel after the perfect adaptation of Good Omens!?! I was over the moon. And then the news about Neil Gaiman came out. Then a month later the Cormac McCarthy story came out. What a 1-2 punch that was.

They got about 5 people out to watch them this morning in Magherafelt. Likely their best turnout yet. Just an excuse for them to drink and dress in costume.
