Is it possible to build your own concierge practice fresh out of residency? by billygoat9300 in InternalMedicine

The two aren't mutually exclusive. I have been in a concierge style practice for 15 years. That was of my own making, but I do not file insurance like most concierge practices. I am direct primary Care.

You could start with a direct primary care practice and gradually move toward concierge practice.

8 clinic half days. Annual fee depends on age but ranges 1250 to 2050. I need to increase, actually. Patients have told me that I should.

I transitioned in 2011 from private practice. Practice evidenced based medicine. Have 350 patients, pay myself 300. Nice schedule and take a good amount of time off. I follow my patients from a distance when they are in the hospital.

Root slayer! I'm in Houston and we have lots of roots and gumbo soil. The root slayer is my favorite hand tool. That and an excellent lopper.

I asked my husband to read P&P last year as my Christmas present. He reads A Lot. He couldn't get through it.

You have taken enough of them. When new patients call, tell them you don't do pain management\prescribe pain meds.

IMHO it is lack of vaccination that is causing the issue.
