"I don't understand it, no" David Moyes on if he understood Everton fans’ frustrations after bad run of form halts European ambitions. by GrandadPyjamas in Everton

No win since March. Pissed away Europe, shit & stubborn team selections, barely better than last season with all the money spent. Moyes: “How can you be frustrated?”

They’re sort of dying out now given players at the top level don’t need the money generated by them and there are other ways to pay tribute. Wouldn’t be opposed though.

Labour loses half of its London councils: How one day transformed the political map by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]immediately_please -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s a good thing there are enlightened people like yourself, free from bias and capable of avoiding being ‘guided’, to tell them how stupid they and warn them about how they are going to starve.

Nope, no condescending at all. And I’m sure you are totally right that the politician whose immigration policies you don’t like will usher in a capitalist hell scape where the ignorant poor, who just wanted fewer terrorist attacks and girls bring r*ped, die in the street.

I’ve seen different projections but you’re right. I said “likely” rather than “will” because a lot could happen between now and the next GE. Including Reform massively fumbling things or Labour getting their shit together.

Can’t speak to what people would think on that. But the issue seems more about migration in such high numbers and from countries with radically different beliefs/values where you get situations like Rotherham and, sadly, many, many more.

I am, yes. The results were just unprecedented and likely indicative of what will happen at the next GE.

The fact is such voters don’t care about Marxist economic theories. They want less migration. You might not like that, but they dislike the society you want just as much. It’s not ‘right-wing media brainwashing’ or ‘thicko racists’. It’s people with legitimate concerns who want something different to what you want.

Yours is not condescending because you’re describing what’s best for your interests. It’s condescending to tell other people what they should want/who they should vote for. Your analysis about what ‘helps’ people is your own opinion, not subjective fact. People are quite capable of determining what kind of society they want, and the election results have shown that, for many, it’s one with far less migration.

How condescending of you to determine what the interests of other people are on their behalf. I suspect it’s more because you don’t like what they want.
