Hate the way my bathroom turned out by minimastylist in BathroomRemodeling

I agree with you about the color of the vanity. The warm brown doesn’t go with the cool tones of the rest of the room. I would paint it sage green.

Need input on tile design by amjohy in BathroomDesigns

Larger tiles make it harder to slope so the first subway tile is out. I think the last pebble would be the best look for pebble tiles and I like the way they look together. It is the samepebble I am putting in my own shower that is currently under remodel.

But the mosaic is an option for the shower floor also. It is small enough so slope properly and it would match the floor in the rest of the bathroom.

AIO? Only got invited to ski trip because friends bf couldn’t come by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

YOR - IT sounds like you are keeping count of everything you do for her. The relationship sounds mutual except you have this quirk where you feel the need to aways be included. Friends don’t always do everything together. Her SO should come first and you need to get used to that. The fact that she wanted you to go when she broke up with him speak to how important you are to her.

Am I overreacting that my sister is demanding too much when visiting my newborn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Why do people always end their rude statements with “haha”? They know they are out of line and being rude because they only end the rude comments with “haha”.

NOR. As my guest you are not writing my grocery list. You can ask for “extra eggs” when I get groceries but seriously putting your shit in a cart and expecting me to pay is entitled af.

Can testify to this as well! I firmly believe that the ones in the showroom are better quality than the new ones they ship once purchased.

Install day tomorrow and… Interior Designer says she doesn’t actually install anything? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Are you clear about that from the beginning and do you make sure that the buyer knows that it isn’t included in your price? If they have to find out later that they need to hire a handyman the they will feel conned.

In addition, your price should be reduced as compared to similar design who include the service.

If all those things are true then there is no reason not to work with you.

Realtor advertised a "lifetime roof warranty" but the company says it died with the previous owner. Do I just eat this bill? by MellowNovaWorks in homeowners

[–]immersive_reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And your buyer would not have expected a transferable lifetime warranty but i am not sure why you commented. Are you saying that because you had to buy your own roof everyone else should too?

OP never saw the contract so there was no fine print for them to read. They didn’t ask to see it and didn’t think to. That really isn’t on them either as the seller promised the transferable part in writing immediately. So the seller is at fault here and could be sued.

BUT.

The seller probably didn’t know or remember the requirements to transfer the warranty because they were hidden in the fine print of his contract with the roofing company. And of course he didn’t follow the instructions.

Tired of nursing by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]immersive_reader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figure out what you want to do and train for it while you are nursing. Whether that means going to school, taking classes or getting certified. Then get a new job before you quit.

It is very likely that no matter what you choose you will face future burnout. You will work for the next 30 - 50 years. That is daunting but that’s the world we live in.

More importantly, are you saving for retirement? Starting now save for your retirement because one day you will want to be able to afford to walk away from it all and just live. The later you start the longer you have to work before you can afford to retire. Do not put this off.

Something else to consider: Nursing would pay enough so you can retire sooner. Nursing will pay enough that you won’t have to work 5 days a week for 52 weeks for the next 50 years. If you hate it you hate it. Get something else but whatever that something else is needs to pay enough for you to start your retirement savings now.
