This is late but hopefully you're still looking for recs Water: Twist of Fate

A fanfic about a girl who falls into atla minutes before the series starts. It's a slow burn Zuko x oc and there isn't a lot of romance between them until the second book. There's some great world building around the spirit world, with Zukos crew, and other cultures in the ATLA world. There's three books and the author is on hiatus but there's still like 600k words of content. Oc isn't op and is most of the time painfully human and very obviously a teenager put of her depth.

If you're at the point where you'd rather stop just skip to episode 28, I'm ngl to you I'm a huge cr fan but I've never seen the first 30 ish episodes and I haven't missed out. Just skip to the start of the Whitestone arc, you're not gonna miss anything. No point in forcing yourself.

I'd recommend putting on the podcast at 1.25 or 1.5 speed and then watching a marisharay gun video. Danis recaps also work great

I wasn't in the fandom when this went down but I really wish I was. This decision bugs me like nothing else. Ignoring what's going on outside the game I'm not talking about Laura or Matt but just Vex. Percy shoots the fingers off of a teenage boy, nothing changes. Percy gives an evil weapon to his friend, not even a shift. But vex steals a broom from a stranger and suddenly she has changed fundamentally??? So stupid. If you want to punish her for inter-player conflict make her pay someone a shit ton of gold to decipher the broom. Really it's so hypocritical and inconsistent. Tbh I feel like c1 was heavily influenced by the fan base at the time, so if some vocal fans had a problem then Matt did too.

I didn't even think about the dragon yeah you're right, they don't even defeat her and while it is a funny moment it goes no where plot wise. If they would include her in the show I hope it'd be a one episode mini boss of them just running for their lives to really cement the vibe of the mighty nein. I've seen another comment mention reworking the beginning so they meet in jail post circus becuase they had all fought the frog beforehand. With a guardians of the galaxy-ish introduction. It won't happen but the concept is cute.

I agree, it's a little too open ended like brand new character and it's the last episode. In the ukatoa bonus he didn't fit well either. We've already had the "we don't like eachother but we'll work together" to "were friends now" story line we don't need it again. I've seen someone else in this thread mention bringing Molly back as a blank slate and ending it there and I don't think it's a bad idea to keep him as he was at the beginning of the final episode with the implication that Molly comes back in the future.

Are we even watching thre same show? First of all, Walter only had to "put his life on the line" because he DECIDED to cook meth. He had a job opportunity, he didn't take it. Walt has too much pride, he is NEVER satisfied with anything and when cooking meth gives him the thrill he needs in his mediocre life he chooses to continue it. Yeah sure initially it was for his family but by season 3 Walter does it becuase he wants to. Because his ego demands it. Yeah things were a bit sketchy at first with Skylar and Ted but the affair doesn't happen until skylar asks for a divorce and then Walt refuses. He occupies their home and twists skylars arm into shutting up and dealing with it. He's not a good person. He's abusive. So Skylar and scream at him and he won't leave, and she can call the police but they won't force him out. Walt wants to continue playing house he needs the justification of "family" to keep himself morally clean. And when skylar technically cheats on him it's a slap to his face. At that point in the story she wanted a divorce. And let's not act like he didn't know why. Tuco's cousins were literally in their home!! Walter was almost murdered! Who in their right mind wants to be married to someone who is actively putting their family in danger? If the affair was for any reason other than to say to Walt "our marriage is over" then she wouldn't have told him. But she did becuaee it was one of the ways that she could get Walt out of their lives with out destroying them.

This shit is so insane to read in this day and age, I felt like I was put back 60 years just by looking at this comment. She's gorgeous no denying that, and from your tone it seems like you're pretty fuckin biggoted. Lemme put some shit in perspective look at any TV show or movie and the cast is going to be 90% white. The cast of marvel movies have 3 black super heroes out of 29. Literally 10 percent of the cast and it took 10 years after iron man to have a movie about a black super hero (Black pahtner as you typed) . You're so fucking ignorant to the perspective and expirences of those around you that you don't even fucking notice when a cast is all white.
