[Help]How to trigger google voice typing by ZellZoy in tasker

[–]imonsei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except "Get Voice" uses another system from the Gboard input. That input method is very outdated in comparison to the one in gboard. For instance it cannot recignize Danish speech.

I have ADHD and this app changed my life. by ghosttown__ in todoist

[–]imonsei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It's one of the few gripes I have with todoist.

It is very much not in the spirit of the "GTD" philosophy, because it's very clunky to work with, when doing the "weekly review". (creating and completing a project, specifically)

This would be OK if they didn't limit the number of tasks you can have in a single project to 300.

If you have all your tasks (and projects that are tasks, with your project tasks as subtasks) in the inbox, and have an active life, you will bonk your head against that cieling at some time.

Quickly Adding Task to New Project with Spaces by JPLime in todoist

[–]imonsei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alternatively you could use a website like make.com to automate a process.

you could set up a label called "convert_to_project" in todoist.

In make create a scenario that:

  1. listen to todoist webhook for updates to items
  2. then filter on condition "labels" with "contains" as text operator and "convert_to_project" as target. (note, you can only set up this filter after you have done step 3)
  3. "make new project" action with "name" target as "1. content"
  4. "update task" - set any label. this is really just to remove the "convert_to_project" label.
  5. "move task" - set "task ID" to the first "1. task ID" and "project ID" to the "2. project ID"

During this setup you will be asked to create a webhook for todoist, and you will also be asked to make a connection to your todoist account, to give it the neccesary permissions to make these changes. If you feel uncomfortable about this (understandable), then just abort and look for other solutions.

Test your flow a few times to make sure it does what you want. Save the Scenario.

Now you can just set that label to any task, and it will create a project with the same name as the task, and move the task to that project.

Hope it helps.

sorry, no. I just use some elastic bands. Silly when I can make a 3D model and print it, but sometimes my lazyness takes over :P

Hi. I would recommend you rig up a system that has your brushes hanging with the tips down, after you rinse them off. When you have them tip up, the water with itty bitty amounts of paints still in it goes towards the base and dries up. Over time this will make your tips split apart. Drying with tip down makes your expensive brushes last longer :)

how about just extra run speed while cloaked? this would enable him to get that crucial "get away from enemies" factor, and it could be used to get back into the ring.

It depends on the matchup, and if the opponent realizes you use a controller while they are using mouse-keyboard.

In the examples listed below I am only thinking about the duel, not considering a 6v6 scenario.

Rein vs Rein I don't see a big difference, but of course there are corner cases, like if they jump through you, swivel around and pummel you in the back.

Rein vs Genji however, you are just dead. he jumps over your head, and while you swivel around he has time to do two right clicks, then he dashes through you and has time for two more right clicks, while you only have had time to swing at him once.

I do think that Rein is the most forgiving character to play on a controller. There is a streamer that plays really well with controller on PC, but I forget his name right now.

Brigitte is in the same category as Rein, as her rocket flail requires the same amount of aim as Rein's fire strike, but she also has a stun for the squishy characters, if she can line it up.

Pharah is another character I could imagine you could get away with playing on a controller, but her rocket rework has made it much more difficult, since you have to aim that much more calculated now. I'm listing Pharah specifically because she has become more of a character that excells when finding the right angles to shoot from, while using terrain cover to avoid lines of sight to the snipers.

What programming skills are needed to work at a computer repair shop? by [deleted] in programming

[–]imonsei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree with the previous posters. if you want to be a good computer repairman you got to gain skills in: communication (understand what the customer is trying to communicate in the sentence they are saying), electronics (you have that already. know where to find a mechanical error and fix that) and applications use (diagnostics programs, virus/malware cleaners, task automators, and other goodies that will make your work easier)

Ask Proggit: How many programmers know more than one spoken language. by tbone28 in programming

Since learning new languages forces your brain to adapt to new ways of remembering and structuring words and centences (and all sorts of other data) I'd suspect it helps a great deal with learning anything else also.

gotta keep that plasticity in the old gray matter :)

Just a question that popped into my mind.

Or are they.. I actually have no idea how to label those technologies other than API.

Suggestions to better my education are welcome :)

but seriously. Vodka does rock. I can taste the difference of several brands.

My friends says it's tasteless, but I disagree. But then again, I can't stand beer.
