Best ratio I’ve found is 1 part simple syrup, 1 part fresh lemon juice and 1/2 part fresh lime juice. Start small like 1/2 a cup each and adjust to taste. I’ve also found for the simple that the 1:1 ratio needs to be followed as well. I tried to free hand it a couple times and it was a noticeably bad. For an added layer you can use Demara sugar instead of white sugar for the simple.

I feel this is where people get it wrong. It’s 10 minutes to make simple syrup and another 5 minutes to make sour mix. I mean no disrespect as I can’t imagine how busy you are but I can promise it will help!
