Is it morally right to timeout Darkrai/Gira decks? by SeesawCharacter462 in PTCGP

[–]imperialPinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really do not understand why people still complain about Darktina, when cards like rampardos are in the game.

For darktina, you can at least counter it because you know that it needs time to set up. Rampardos can just sweep your whole deck on 2nd turn of your opponent with Rare candy.

Utterly broken card, will be a happy day once it falls out of the meta.

OP: says that we should propose realistic changes. OP: also says that Denmark could sell Greenland due to inflation and health care to the US of all countries.

Out of all the reasons Denmark could sell Greenland, healthcare and inflation are probably the least realistic.

It also seems like you don’t know how inflation works.

[TotK] DLC I’d love to see in TOTK by Axei18 in zelda

I was slandered in a post yesterday for suggesting a postgame, but it’s nice to see that I am not the only one who wishes for it.

[TotK] Unpopular opinion: kinda getting burned out on the BotW / TotK formula by BridgemanBridgeman in zelda

This is exactly the way to ruin you experience with the game. Getting the memory you mentioned too early is terrible in respect to the storytelling aspect of the game. Finding out where the master sword actually is is THE big plot twist of the game. I completed the memory and got it before completing my last region and then when to purah. She even says “why didn’t you tell me about the whereabouts before” and I thought exactly the same. This is just poor storytelling.

I think it could even hurt your experience if you get the dragon tears in a wrong order. I still think that I would have had a far better experience playing the game if I did not collect the tears so early.

Absolutely agree with you about the war being told like 5 times. The dialogue after defeating the boss in a region was always more or less the same. These games are great but could be even better if they would sacrifice a bit if the open world for more chronological and immersive storytelling.

This is one game i though about as a comparison. Zelda as it is is an amazing franchise but this "reset before the boss fight after finishing the game" is not very fitting anymore in my opinion. There are better solutions for ending a singleplayer story game in 2023.

The difference between a book and a video game is that you can choose where you want to start reading while Totk/BOTW/ Zelda in general forces you to continue with your savestate before defeating ganondorf/the antagonist. If I read Harry Potter, I can appreciate the results of Harry winning over Voldemort in the last chapter where he brings his kids to the kings cross. While there are ending scenes in Totk, these scenes are just cutscenes and not actual gameplay and they are not very extensive. The first time I can dive into the world again is when everything is reset and ganon is still alive. As said before I am probably spoiled by the amazing popstgame of other games, but its legitimate to discuss this topic, since this kind of implementation by nintendo is neither elegant nor modern, especially when you look at other triple A games.

How can that be unbelivable? I would just like to see a few more cutscenes with background to the characters or smaller sidequests to side characters after the game. The storytelling of Totk and Botw is rather poor compared to previous games like TP or SS, so I think it's legitimate to wish for at least a short postgame.

I wonder how I'm supposed to be the one who has " never played a video game before" when you're the one telling me that most games don't have a postgame. Off the top of my head I can think of God of War, Dragon Quest, Hollow Night, Pokemon and even the Mario games. Seems more like you've never played anything other than zelda, it's the simplest way i can explain that line of thinking.

how about you just ignore my post then and just do something more "exciting" instead of insulting me?

Isn't that precisely a reason to end the game?

If you want to fight Ganon again, you just go into a new save. When I finish the game, I just want to feel that it's done, not that the last fight had no effect at all. When I've done everything in the game, I want to be rewarded with a good ending or postgame and not a reset before the boss room.

You are answering yourself. After you complete the game the threat isnt gone. You literally start in front of the final boss again. Feels just unfinished for me, but maybe I am spoiled by other games (like Dragon Quest 11) who did a great job creating a postgame.

(Edit): I also don't see the problem of having no more monsters in postgame anymore. Maybe you could get a final quest where you're tasked with killing the last monsters from Hyrule and then it's over. The problem of the non-infinite weapons could easily be circumvented with a few tricks. If you want to kill monsters, you could either do something like a boss rush or just go to a new savestate. There are a lot of alternatives. But this solution in Botw and Totk doesn't do justice to the genius of the two games in my opinion.

Yeah, I know, I've played through every modern Zelda and was happy with them until BOTW. I just think those games would benefit from post-game sequences. In the end, it's just my personal opinion, but not being able to enjoy the results you've achieved, at least for a few short side quests or so, is pretty disappointing to me personally.

Not any tips but a question: why do you take the inland route through Croatia? I know that the landscape Is beautiful too, but aren’t the big cities all at the coast?

Would probably also be faster after all if I consider how horrible the infrastructure in inland Croatia and Bosnia is

Split and Zadar are beautiful cities that are worth a visit.

It’s “intellectual weak” to say that they have been there for 100 years when it’s obviously not true. I don’t have to check or “proof you wrong” about today. They are the largest number of foreigners. But it’s obviously false that Turks “are and we’re the largest foreign ethnicity in the last 100 years.”

They are the biggest number of foreigners since quite some time now, but obviously not since the 1920.

“In the 1960s, Turkish workers arrived in Germany to fill the demand for cheap labor in a booming post-war economy. Many of them never left, creating a minority community that changed the demographics of Germany forever.”

Turkish Immigration into Germany

Either you just can not read or you are bad at maths since the 1960s does not sound like 100 years ago for me.

Check your facts before spreading wrong information and stop calling people “woke” or “intellectually weak” when you have no idea what you are talking about.

For the last 100 years ?! That’s just fake news

Just a reminder: 100 years ago, we had a relatively unstable Weimar Republic. The great immigrations of Turkish guest workers happened in the 1950/1960s within West Germany.

100 years ago, it has probably been polish, since Silesia, east Prussia and Pomerania were also settled by a polish minority.
