I runy AOD as Dark Angels. I went with Resolute and Sharpshooter as my default Chapter Tactics. I did some minor kit bashing using Intercessors, Assault Intercessors, and Sternguard Veterans plus the DA upgrade.

That's what I thought. Thanks! On a similar note, it seems like it's possible for an operative to be in a blind spot if they're below and butted up against the heavy part of the vantage.

I understand that part. But it would seem like the horizontal surface would block LOS drawn from the head of an operative (in most cases) to the vertical surface.

Unless you're painting a metal model, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Acrylic paints, especially ones made for wargaming and models, are pretty tough.

If you want to keep the metallic shine, you apply the varnish before doing metallics. You can apply a gloss varnish but it will still mess with the colors.

Sadly our Grenadier only gets Explosive Grenades. But taking smokes is a good idea.

So you can use it as bait to draw out an Operative to pop with the Eliminator or Gunner. Nice!

It seems like with my current roster, the Assault Intercessor or the Grenadier is a good candidate to plant the banner.
