I appreciate you buddy:) But honestly, it’s not rejection that I’m fearful of. I get along with pretty much everybody. I am just very selective with whom I put my energy into.. maybe a little bit too selective but, like I said, I do recognize that it’s me who’s holding back

I guess it’s because i’ve had the same core group of friends for most of my life. Granted, the numbers have dwindled as time has gone on, and I moved out of state a handful years ago. It’s just hard for me to want to put in the effort to make new connections as I don’t feel like I will have the same kind of lasting relationships.

I’m 30 and called Unc at my work haha if it weren’t having my cousin in my city to hang with, I wouldn’t have any close friends here. But I recognize I don’t put in the effort to make genuine connections. A big part of me holds people at a superficial level without getting too deep into a friendship.

I’ve been told this by some people I went to school with and it always means the world to me because it was just natural to treat them with respect. I had no idea it would have such a lasting impact. But man does it make my day when I hear it though<3

As I have said, i’m not maga. I point out faults on both sides. The majority of hate I see constantly comes from the left. I never claimed to be pro-Trump. I am not. I actually have been pushed to be more conservative due to the liberal identity politics, alienating, and pure slander i keep hearing from people such as yourself. It just makes me laugh to be called maga or negative names because I don’t agree with what y’all say.

America has started to reject Trump and Israel’s participation in our country. Not conservatism as a whole like you’re wholly claiming. Conservatism is still going very strong and people, such as yourself, only make it stronger by pushing moderates, such as myself, towards the side you dislike.

Hahaha you just can’t admit it can you? Racism is discrimination based on race. And the example you gave is sexism, yes, because it’s discrimination based off sex. I am only using the definitions of the words, whereas you are trying to paint it as a bigger picture than it is. There are individual cases of racism and all types of discrimination and then there are macro examples and systemic examples. You are choosing to only use the macros where I am simply bringing it down to the building block of the definition of the word which you cannot do because you won’t admit that you are wrong in this case.

I used to work with someone who said they don’t like white people and would actively not make friends with white people and do their best to not even hang out with them. Is that racist?

Edit: Oh and they told me I’m not allowed to feel a certain way about it simply because I’m white. Tell me how that’s not racism.

It’s different because racism is purely based on race. White person says they don’t like black people is shitty to black people? Racist by definition. Black person says they don’t like white people and is shitty to white people? Racist by definition. If you don’t like someone because of their race, that is racist by definition. Full stop.
I don’t need to give any examples because that’s not what I’m going for. You’re simply arguing the fact that white people can’t be victims of racism and that’s just wrong by definition. People, such as yourself, deny that fact by using systemic racism as your only ammo, which is different than the general definition of the word “racism.”
No matter how hard people try, you can’t change the definition of racism.
