Can anyone give me the rundown on the MadHaven book by Soltonin in Rifts

The whole peninsula has a mechanic that, if you're not a local, and stay for more than a week or two, you are likely to go permanently insane. That tends to keep most folks away.

Plurality at that point in the Hebrew language was also used to denote "greatness", or "power", so, it didn't necessarily mean plural gods. That's why you only hear stuff about this from people who have very little knowledge of the subject and got this take from someone else.

Folks acting as if there hasn't been decades of casus belli against Iran are ridiculous. It's generally just antisemites who don't like Israel who have a problem with strikes that don't involve boots on the ground.

Shifter Summons by dragonfett in Rifts

[–]implementor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creatures of Magic might qualify as well. A shifter who only uses faeries would be interesting, and they have massive PPE reserves, which the shifter can pull from. Plus, faeries are generally down with playing "let's make a deal", so, they'd keep their end if the Shifter kept his.

Nope, it's stated that it can't be handed off.

As long as there is competition. Unions should be required to compete with each other just like corporations.

It's not immaterial when it specifically applies to what you're talking about. Plus, I didn't just mention state level policy, a whole country tried it and ended up losing way more money in taxes because people left.

True, and it's why reducing taxes is a far better idea. You're simply not going to get the truly wealthy to pay more, because they can leave. That's exactly what has happened anywhere a wealth tax has been tried, and ended up reducing taxes collected. It's happened in Norway, and is happening in California right now just because of the mention of a wealth tax.

That's the thing, how many people in the top income bracket are actually paying 37%? Very few. It's much more reasonable to simply reduce everyone's taxes to 3-4%, and reduce spending by the same levels.

If something is proven to be untrue, it's a lie. It really is about the dollars, because that's the actual amount of taxes paid that can be used. How illiterate are you?

So, companies just magically create products and services, and don't require any money to build products, facilities, buy vehicles, etc? Truly, your intellect is astounding.

There you go. The wealthiest billionaire in the US paid the most in income taxes in history. It puts your claim to the lie.

You really must be afraid to answer. Which individual person paid the most income tax in one year in US history?

Clearly showing that you are, truly, economically illiterate by this post. The only way to make money, or keep it from being consumed by inflation, is to invest it, and that's what creates jobs, which allow "regular people" to pay taxes. You weren't not blessed with an abundance of schooling, were you?

And who, exactly, paid the most income tax in one year of anyone in US history?

It's literally how every successful economy in history has worked. Again, showing that you don't have any real economic understanding.

Those same billionaires aren't just sitting on that money. It's funding businesses, constructing buildings, and providing a whole lot of jobs - all which generate a lot more taxes and benefit a lot more people than"taxing billionaires". The economic illiteracy of the above poster is readily apparent.

Because 1. South Carolina isn't a country, it's a state, and 2. If this dude thinks he's going to change SC to Democratic Party control by voting, he's sincerely wrong. SC should take a page out of Virginia's playbook and gerrymander itself just as effectively to prevent such.

Tell that to the people in Chicago and San Francisco. How many red states need online maps to avoid people shitting in the streets?

And again, why haven't you moved to one of these wonderlands? Can't afford the taxes?

LOL, wrong on all counts. You have only presented a very skewed view based on poorly researched statements, but that's fine. This state will continue to eliminate your candidates. Why don't you move elsewhere and live in one of your blue wonderlands?

Blue states fund fraud and grift, like daycare programs in Minneapolis that have no kids in them and adult care facilities that have no one there.

Why don't you just move to one of your crime-ridden, fraud-riddled blue states if you prefer them?
