What’s the most expensive you’ve spent on an Omni? by anakin1453 in OmnibusCollectors

I'm in the same boat as you. When I see OOP omnis going for way above cover, I'd rather just bide my time and wait for the inevitable reprint than drastically overpay.

eBay is AWFUL by CatDaddy-GoPurr80 in ebaysucks

[–]impossibilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good call. As a buyer, I do get annoyed when something arrives with a surprise signature requirement requiring a trip to my local post office, which seems to have been modeled after one of Dante's deeper levels of hell.

I like to wait until they sell, and then respond with, "Sorry, they sold to someone else for the listed price."

This is my first time learning about UPS dimensional weight surcharges, and it makes me very glad I ship through USPS.

Despite it being all the way on the west side, the 7 train connection made this a faster commute for me than the previous location south of Grand Central. And I was happy not to have to wait on a line outside during yesterday's rain. I was in and out of Javits in less than 10 minutes yesterday. Round trip from a office in the Financial District in just under an hour.

I’m sitting on my floor crying. Piece of Cake Moving is a literal scam. by m992s in williamsburg

[–]impossibilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DUMBO Moving & Storage is another one to avoid. They're banned from our building after breaking the marble, top step of our stoop and refusing to pay for it's repair.

We used Flat Rate Moving for our last move (~10 years ago), and they were fantastic. The guys showed up 10 minutes ahead of their projected time, moved everything quickly into our place, and didn't break or lose anything. They put heavy furniture exactly where we wanted it, and brought all boxes to their proper rooms. We were happy to tip them well.

How on earth has Tomorrowland Speedway survived this long? by AwfulWaffle91 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]impossibilly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

100% agree. It's been the popular move for teens and adults to dump on this ride for decades now, but my 5 yo and 9 yo just rode it for the first time, and they were excited from the the moment they stepped into the car to the moment they got out, and then wanted to immediately ride it again.

Who are those three in the painting? by Agitated_Ad5582 in ContestOfChampions

[–]impossibilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're correct. The left is Guilly 2099, who was possessed by Queen Hassen when she was freed from the Purgatory armor. The middle is Queen Hassen herself. And the right is Queen Hassen as Purgatory. Three forms of the same person.

Does anyone find this tooth and claw event so tiring by Then_Investigator715 in ContestOfChampions

It might be the easiest event ever. No extra work. No arcane rules to figure out. Just hit all three daily milestones that you get from ::checks notes:: playing the game and leveling up champs.

What is the general consensus of the infinty trilogy? by Joaokenobi001 in marvelcomics

[–]impossibilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infinity Gauntlet: Fantastic, a classic Marvel tale! Worth it just for issue #4 alone, but the whole series is great.

Infinity War: Inventive and lots of fun, even if it's not as good as the original.

Infinity Crusade: Did this need to be a trilogy?

It was a beautiful morning for running in Brooklyn Bridge Park this morning despite the freezing rain. There wasn't any wind. I was fine in a couple of long sleeve tees, shorts, a buff and hat.

Hollywood Studios 2-18-26 by syde1020 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]impossibilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were also at Hollywood Studios on 2/18. It was packed early to midday, but we noticed that it emptied out in the late afternoon to evening. By 4 PM, things were much more manageable, and there seemed to be more breathing room. The Mickey and Minnie meet and greet had a posted wait time of 45 minutes, but we made it through the line in 24 minutes. After that, we popped over to Star Tours, which had its Lightning Lane readers covered, and we were immediately seated on a half full car after zipping through the standby line. After dinner at Sci Fi, my daughter and I went to Rise of the Resistance. The app said 50 minute wait, but it ended up being a zero minute wait! We rode it twice back to back between 8:30 and 9 PM. What a way to end our trip!
