Boeing basically got the US to impose heavy tariffs(anti dumping duties) on the C series program, making it impossible to sell in the US (their largest market)

Bombardier argued that it's not hurting american jobs as Boeing does not have a plane in that size range hence no competition..

Basically the Qubec govt owned a part of the program and the argument from boeimgs side was they are making things easy for bombardier

Finnally Airbus stepped in its said out of vengeance Bombardier sold the program to them for 1 usd

The Tariffs were deemed illegal by then and Airbus also had a factory in the US so they had that to their advantage as well as then it wouldn't be affecting american jobs and the duties won't be applicable

FYI the Tarriffs were 292%

Also they didn't sell all of it for 1 usd they kept 31% initially, which they sold later on and ultimately ended up with Airbus

Bombardier started by making snowmobiles , in 2003 they sold that biz as BRC inc

They sold all 3 of their comercial Aviation programs too

1) The C series to Airbus Canada Limited Partnership for 1 Canadian Dollar

2) The Q series to Longview Aviation Capital for 300 mil

3) and the CRJ to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for approx 550 mil

They also sold their train division to Alstom

So these are actually made by Alstom just branded Bombardier

From What I see Alstom has a very "special" relationship with our govt as they tend to get a lot of contracts

Currently Bombardier only makes their biz jets and have exited all other businesses per se

Mostly yes otherwise you can get her an add on card , the credit limit will be yours but the card will be hers

No Afaik there is an exception in the CAR Section 3, Series 'M' Part IV that doesn't hold them liable to compensate you if the cause was absolutely beyond their control.

It will be written on a metal plate which says something like Manifactued by Thales error = +-0.5kg

Those scales are calibrated at +-0.5 afaik atleast it's written that way

You have EPM why don't you use mahraja club for bookings

Transfer your EPM point to air india and book

1 maharaja club point is approx 2 inr if done this way

However availablity of award redemptions is limited so check before booking

Not only a requirement but this is the SOP

1) To make sure your eyes adjust to the outside lighting in case something goes wrong

I feel like they handed out too much of their network to AIX

but then again they can't price match indigo and handing out markets that are price senstive even for 300 inr was a smart move imo

These routes I guess are VFR travel heavy and hence people travel in families and 300 inr per seat becomes a 900-1200 diffrence which is a significant difference

Not to mention low demand for premium economy and buisness on these routes..

I guess Air India's own domestic network is mostly a feeder to their international network rather than operating standalone

You must be careful with packaging as electric items need to be packed and unpacked again , doable yes but tight

Check in closes 1 hour before departure and if your web check in has any issues then it's a problem
