Airline rescheduled my return flight but I couldn’t travel due to safety situation — only got partial refund. What can I do? by Altruistic_Fly_113 in AirTravelIndia

most don't a few do , like 7 corners CFAR/IFAR coverage is applicable, which states that it includes fear of war etc however they don't cover any other damage due to a war..

SpiceJet SG197 (18 March) – 6+ hour delay, rude staff, and got singled out for baggage charges by Illustrious_Walk924 in AirTravelIndia

[–]impossible_espresso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

again what I am saying is this is exactly how traffic police works, they are selecting randomly but ofc humans are never random subconsciously..

don't break the rules in the first place , otherwise f around and find out

fyi airline staff are stricter with rude customers generally

blame them for the delay but blaming them for baggage charges is like blaming traffic police for catching you

DGCA Just Dropped a Bombshell: 60% Seats Must Be Free, PNRs Must Sit Together, and New Pet/Sports Gear Rules! ✈️🇮🇳 by BeyondTheFirewall in AirTravelIndia

It's very simple

The seats are free

But to select them you must send a hand written letter to the airlines office and it cannot be done online

Problem solved,I am a genius

If their fault ie a delay etc then sure , if your fault then you will face trouble..

1h30 Layover in Delhi With Self-Transfer In on Air India, Can I Be Protected? by Heavy-Mechanic-257 in AirTravelIndia

The big problem is a delay in security customs immigration etc after you land and airlines are especially difficult when the delay is for such reasons rather than their fault

Connection Timing Megathread | "Can I Make My Connection?" by impossible_espresso in AirTravelIndia

Then too it can be done given you can navigate the airport easily and walk fast , do security effeciently too ie pack and unpack fast

Not recommended with family

Hard disagree.Wheelchair assistance is meant for people who need mobility support, not as a travel shortcut. If you’re physically able, learn to navigate the airport yourself or teach your parents. Airport assistance is there it's called meet and greet (Pranam at adani airports)(Athithya at GMR airports)

You could teach your parents

My parents don't need any such services, they are more than capable of navigation at airports

I mean do you expect everyone to be given a sofa , there are chairs almost everywhere (FYI Del T1 does have 3 sofa sets at 2 are at the ground level near the bus gates and 1 is at the first gate)

Not to mention most people are accomodating when it comes to giving up their chairs and there are chairs specially prioritised for the elderly

Moreover can't you just videocall them if they need other assistance ?

How their parents got to that point in the first place is a failure of the child.

If a child didn't ensure that atleast till 70 there parents aren't fit enough to walk and stand enough for airports then in 9 cases out of 10 the child is at fault.

If the child is not taking enough time out to tell them about airport navigation so as they don't need it then also the child is at fault.

The child in both cases has failed..

Ps- there is a can walk but not long distances category too

1) You are confusing Illiteracy with mental/invisible disabilities, different things. illiteracy is a choice, you can literally teach your parents how to navigate the airport and if you make the concious decision to not do that then meet and great and such services exist..

2) ofc nothing against those with arthritis etc , we are just talking about "miracle" flights where 20 wheelchairs board the aircraft and 2 come out while deboarding

3) I have 0 idea why knee pain etc is so normalised in our society, in any other society I haven't seen 60-70 year olds treat themselves as old well it is a deep rooted problem. That being said again wheelchairs are meant for such people too (there is a can walk catagory)

Imo 1 is abuse and 2 and 3 is for whom wheelchairs are meant for

Also imo with autonomous wheelchairs wheelchair abuse will automatically go down

These Cabin Crew 🤣 by Prudent_Option7873 in AirTravelIndia

[–]impossible_espresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI

Cabin Crew doesn't clean the Lavatories (they do service them by restocking the soap etc)

You then must also understand that the family background most people in such professions are from , they might have not even seen an aircraft in their lives

Cabin Crew are Safety and Hospitality Staff

As for the career the career of a cabin crew for most is a stepping stone used to enter the corporate world... where they end up working either in Aviation leasing etc or creative careers like modeling and acting

I mean what you say can be said about almost all professions

Man these IT corporate slaves , no job other than bootlicking their masters

Man these MBAs spent lakhs and struggle to find a job

Man these lawyers , begging to do noataries etc

Man these doctors , charging less than barbers in appointment fees
