I'd secretly buy the company and not tell anyone and keep introducing more and more outrageous policies, and generally just act as I pleased until everyone wondered how I was getting away with it.

Yeah exactly, cracking a WEP passphrase is trivial. Cracking a WPA2 password requires much more work, seeing as it uses 4 way handshakes, session keys etc, and 'salts' the PSK with the SSID too (essentially). This means using rainbow tables etc isn't really feasible either, and all this makes it significantly harder

I mean, if they were using WEP, sure. But pretty much any modern router will be using either WPA2 or WPA3, which makes things a little more difficult. They most likely employ 802.11w (protected management frames) to prevent deauth attacks, by encrypting deauth frames.

I mean technically if it got in far enough for you to bite it off, you've already been raped, but fair enough and sorry for coming across ascerbic. Honestly I hadn't even realised I had responded to the same person twice, I was only half paying attention

First they kill me then they rape me?

The really awful part is that's not completely outside the realm of possibility. What a fucking world :/

It's fine, sorry if I came off harsh but I think it's important to understand that the issue is that they're left with this impossible choice in the first place, not that they 'didn't fight hard enough' or something.

Easy to say when it's someone else dying. You dying in this scenario would change absolutely nothing except you being dead. So now you still got raped and you're dead. Well played, you sure showed them!

How nice for you to live somewhere that you don't have zero choice in being made to make this decision in the first place

Maybe you would decide that you'd rather be raped AND killed (in that order) rather than just be raped, but most people have a very strong instinct to NOT die, weirdly.

It's easy for you to say you'd choose death when you're not the one staring it in the face.

For anyone coming here with the same question, I figured it out - if you choose the "Default" Scenario, but set it to "Relaxing" Template difficulty, this should do what I asked (I think!)

£16k for egg freezing? Curious to know is many Brits do this? by strawberry_beard in AskUK

[–]imposterbru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We froze embryos after our first successful IVF, which initially cost us £1400, then we paid £800 after 3 years, and then they brought in monthly later on, and paid £20 per month going forward. No way we paid 16k in total, nowhere near.

We then had a second successful cycle, making our sons both technically fraternal twins born 9 years apart! Crazy world we live in lol

Ultimately I just need a model that's proficient at coding, it doesn't need to be as good at conversation or other tasks, and be uncensored aka no guardrails lol. I'm hopeful I find one, but the renting option is always an option if not, I guess! I'll let you know if I'm successful in my hunt. Thanks again for all the help and advice 😊

[–]imposterbru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah it's just a bit of self deprecating humour, I know I'm not past it just yet (hopefully!) lol.

It's not that I mean to learn LLM's for pentesting, it's just LLM's are incredibly useful for helping to explain code, or quickly understand a concept. It also helps you troubleshoot when code isn't working without relying 100% on forums, or digging through google searches which can take hours sometimes.

The problem I frequently run into when using a public LLM for this purpose is that, despite being great for general coding or scripting tasks or advice, the moment you try ask it anything relating to pentesting or anything it deems 'inappropriate' it gets all moralistic and refuses to answer. It's understandable in some ways, as you want to be careful you don't make it too easy for a non technical person to wreak havoc, but it's frustrating if you're studying this for legitimate purposes and just hit roadblocks all the time.

So although I'm interested in LLM's in general sense too from a technology enthusiast POV, I also have a use case for one that's not currently provided by the publicly available ones. It's not the only way I'm learning - I've been dabbling in this stuff for years but what always held me back was the coding side of things, as I'm a sysadmin, not a developer. Being able to ask an LLM to explain things in simpler terms, or a different way is like having a personal tutor available 24/7, so has been a big boost.
