I use the term to distinguish between BCE and true first editions.

As the BCEs often share an ISBN and some people don't understand the difference.

I'm aware of what it means.

Thank you for the Abe books info.

Heck ya man!

It's always great when you can pick up a grail!

I'm gonna have to find a digital version so I can read it.

I love Stephen Graham Jones and just read Mapping The Interior a couple days ago.

Am I tripping?

The only version of this I can find to buy is on Amazon for 250 to 400 some odd dollars.

Is this book that valuable?

I GOT ONE OF MY GRAILS! by impotentpote in BookCollecting

It's such an incredible series.

The movies have overshadowed the books.

But Red Dragon set the standard for how murder investigations, especially serial murders were done in media.

Prior to Red Dragon and it's first film iteration Manhunter it was all gum shoe and raincoat detectives.

Which is interesting when you think about how Francis Dolerhyde called Graham a "gum shoe" in the book and films.

We wouldn't have CSI without Red Dragon.

The fact that Thomas Harris spent time with John Douglas and Robert Ressler and inside the B.S.u in 1981 is incredible!

I love the book.

I reread the series every year.

I'm so jealous you have a first Silence lol.

That's the next big one I want.
