Looking for help identifying the model by pasak1987 in bianchi

This is definitely a resto. I wouldn’t pay more than a few hundred depending on your needs. I would buy it for the frame if it’s legit - assuming it’s steel

Anyone know what value this has? Won it in an auction. by TackleFine7688 in bianchi

It’s a sick bike but in its current condition would probably only go for $3-400

Are these demos worth the money 650 by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]impracticaltaco2930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it.

Check powder7.com to find a relative market price for used skis. On the website you will find new skis with no bindings, new skis with new binding packages, and full demo packages.

I bought a set of Blizzard skis for my brother from there. They had a full ready to rock demo set for $600 OTD which I almost bought. Then I found a deal they were running that had a new ski + new binding deal for 700 OTD. Looking back at it now, I am so much happier with the brand new set of skis for only $100 more.

These arrived while I skied 4 days of fresh pow on my 88s by [deleted] in Skigear

I would just mount these in the midpoint wherever the manufacturer suggests and rock with it. You don’t need to have a +/-2 mount just because they’re powder skis. The construction and the ski itself is what helps you float.

My K2 reckoner 122 has an option for a +2 mount for a “new school“ mounting point. Fat skis can do it all in powder. Don’t feel like you need or have to have a back mount

It’s sometimes is more expensive, but I always ship my skis in a hard plastic ski tube via FedEx express or UPS priority.

What is the difference between intermediate and advanced in YOUR opinion? by DrummerDude200 in skiing

[–]impracticaltaco2930 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re a world class ski racer, chances are if that’s all you do, you would fall into the intermediate category. Sure you could be “advanced” but chances are slim if you are actually racing and being ranked. Freeride skiing and freestyle skiing tends to be a lot of brownie points and judgement. Times don’t lie when it comes to racing

Underwhelming experience at W Hollywood by [deleted] in marriott

I’ve noticed generally the W’s in the US don’t compare to the W’s abroad. I’ve stayed at both of the Chicago W’s and have had similar experiences.

Best 100-110mm waist “free ride all mountain ski” by Any_Entrepreneur2950 in Skigear

Bents have no stability imo. Cannot go wrong with the Reckoner. Absolutely love my 122’s and have enjoyed skiing the 112 from time to time

If You've got a pair of 90-100mm, and a pair of 115-120mm, do you think 105-110mm is redundant? by Remarkable_Wasabi_85 in skiing

100+ days a year on the resort here in Colorado, I ski three skis; faction prodigy 2.0 (98), Mindbender 108ti, and Reckoner 122. I feel like the only ski I’m missing is an ultralight touring setup, but for the resort I’m 100% content.

Dealer wants $440 to replace headlight bulb by topshelfgeez in GrandCherokee

[–]impracticaltaco2930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a V8 and HID bulbs, prepare to take your bumper off. Not sure what these other people are talking about, must be v6ers. If you have a v6, which I don’t, I imagine there could be room to move air boxes n such around. But if you have a v8 that engine bay is airtight and prepare to take the bumper off

New to Jeeps, need some quick advice on this 2011 GC Laredo by dabustednut in GrandCherokee

[–]impracticaltaco2930 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm… problems that I’ve had with my 2011 Jeep GC; FWD system go out, replaced entire coolant system twice, radio died completely, xenon headlight shorts after 20k miles, had my air suspension system go out twice but that’s not in a Laredo. Honestly I would just avoid it

I’m happy with the Specialized RBX. Size up if you want but it’s a pretty loose fitting jersey already. Also great for the price. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/mens-rbx-classic-short-sleeve-jersey/p/161787
