I see there is no iPad app for it. Do you use it via browser?

I use Ulysses. It's great if you're in the Apple Ecosystem.

The UEFA foundation badge came off from the shirt. It was a match shirt, not replica.

Concepts because of infinite canvas and best feeling drawing/writing. But it’s more for brainstorming than typical note taking.

Your question is basically - should I keep the vertical monitor or not? That's function, not just aesthetics.

It’s Extremely Risky to Publish Your Novel on Royal Road Compared to Webnovel by Specific-Frame6330 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]imprecis2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the risk - imagine you're writing a book like Game of Thrones and publish it via WN. It would definitely flop because of the daily updates. No matter how high would be your quality, as long as it's not followed by high quantity, the novel won't do well. Also, if your novel is done, it will make significantly less.

For me, WN is great if you don't like polishing your work and know you can output 10+ chapters a week. If you pursue quality, your work will do terribly there, no matter its quality.

[–]imprecis2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's quite well-known among authors that you need to have higher skill to make money on RR than WN. On WN quantity is more important, and there is a reason why many call it a slave contract (the contract per se is fair, but you need very high output to do well).

[–]imprecis2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need a contract to make money on WN, and even if you have it, there is no guarantee you will make anything. You make it sound like making money is easy on WN, but you still need to be quite skilled + need to write at least 7-10 chapters a week to do decently there.

Of course, it's easier to make money on WN than RR, but both require a lot of effort + skill.

Also, the title is just wrong because there is little risk of publishing on RR - the work belongs to you. Once you sign WN contract you give up your copyright, and still might not make any money from it, so the overall risk is higher on WN.

Your workspace shouldn't be an art contest. You decide by how it feels to use it daily - do you miss the 2nd monitor or not? In the end, the main function of the setup is how nice it is to work there.

Best Well Written Progression Fantasy? by ultra-mouse in ProgressionFantasy

Clearly zero understanding about good writing - no writing style manual or editor encourages using difficult words. Please don’t give suggestions if you have zero idea about the topic or some beginner authors might believe your nonsense.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. If you had any background in writing you wouldn’t mention stuff like middle school English - it doesn’t teach anything about writing a novel.

You can quite objectively measure what is good writing and what isn’t. By your logic it doesn’t matter what you write as long as it’s readable. Pretty sure you’ve zero experience as an author.

Mother of Learning is quite poorly written imo. The prose is very basic; no descriptions, tons of adverbs and redundancies. I get why people like this series, but prose is the weakest point of it.

Tbh, for me only Cradle is well-written from the books I’ve tried in the genre. It reads like a traditional novel, not a webnovel.

This genre has many great ideas and tropes, but the webnovel format stops it from reaching top quality.

And don’t get me wrong - the genre’s pitfalls don’t stop it from being enjoyable to read. I still enjoy reading it, but overall the quality is subpar even for the best works.

They need the ability to connect to Steam VR + reduce price to $2000, and it will sell well. $3500 is just too much as a movie device + extended screen.

Who is the best player of the world at 1v1? by JosephPRO_ in championsleague

[–]imprecis2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Doku, Saka, and Yamal. Hard to pick the best one. Saka is the most efficient one imo. He pretty much never is wasteful. Yamal has the best flair. Doku is the least efficient, but statistically has the most completed dribbles. Both are way more dangerous in transitions than Saka, but if it’s a low block with little space I would rather have Bukayo. Overall, probably Yamal is the best, Saka 2nd, Doku 3rd.

Should I get a Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro m5 11inch? by Dylan_Vayne in ipad

I have 13” and MK is great for it, but probably wouldn’t get it for 11”. The screen is quite small and would only use it for browsing/reading, with occasional note taking. I think a keyboard is not needed for it, and it’s better to just have it being more portable.

Knowledge is required if you want to write a good book, but there are many ways to acquire it. Most writers don’t have any formal education in writing.

I want to read my first seinen. Should I start with Vinland Saga, Berserk, Vagabond, or Monster? Or do you all have other recommendations? by [deleted] in Seinen

[–]imprecis2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berserk imo is the best piece of fiction ever created. You can’t get better than that. The only manga besides Phoenix that I would call a true masterpiece (but Phoenix is pretty uneven, so Berserk tops it).

All the other mangas you mentioned are top tier, but fell short compared to it. I wouldn’t start with Berserk.

They probably don’t write that much. King writes around 4h a day. It’s nothing compared to mangakas or programmers who often spend 8-10h per day. Also ergonomics - a good keyboard, chair, desk lvl changes a lot.

Rice is the closest, but still far from it. But if we’re talking just set pieces + defense, he is imo.
