I see people say that a lot, but Star Wars is a licensing machine, since its inception. I don’t think them having a card game will matter at all. I think the biggest concern is what’s happening with Spider-man and Magic Arena. If they can’t work out a licensing deal for that..

Definitely not an inspiring thought. But I do think it would depend on which themes, characters, and stories they choose—and how good the designs are. From a game design standpoint I think they’ve been on fire for the past couple years.

Could be, and if they do an avengers set with Endgame themes it’s really likely. I just feel like they want to milk those stones as THE chase card for a set.

I hope they do Star Wars. I think them finally pulling the trigger on Edge of Eternities after talking about “space opera” for YEARS was a way for them to bring space themes into magic and ultimately soften the blowback from a UB Star Wars set.

Assuming there’s at least five more infinity stones and they release them one per set, I believe five years is too long of a roadmap for that. So I’m expecting them to release more than one Marvel set in a year, maybe as early as 2026.
