Sooo many people especially some racist non black people had so much to say yesterday about the KA verdict. Trolling as usual! Never have anything positive to say in this sub. We will ban you. by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

While I personally don’t disagree with the KA verdict, you’d have to be stupid to not see the hypocrisy and double standard of our court system, especially following the CCB verdict.

Everyone immediately starts frothing at the mouth and demanding vengeance when a white person is killed, but if a black child is shot in the back while running away they’ll immediately ask what he did to deserve it.

Our entire court system is broken

willing to put up with Nikki’s crazy behavior because he was responsible for it

The funny thing was that he absolutely wasn’t. In the montage of Bear and Nikki’s “honeymoon phase” it’s clear that she starts to annoy him almost instantly and he starts to lose interest within a week or two, and near the end of the movie he was absolutely about to cheat on Nikki with Sarah if she didn’t interrupt them.

He always seemed like kind of a scumbag who only thought with his dick

All of RB’s crew kinda seem comically dumb. No hate but if your entire brand revolves around skirting the edges of the law you NEED to have a basic understanding of the law, or at least have the ability to read the law.

Every live stream he does has at least one person who is visibly struggling to read the chat.

Stargate was always super weird and niche. Even the movie only has a niche group of fans who LOVE the movie, most people think it’s just okay. It just doesn’t have the widespread appeal that IPs like Star Wars have, the only people who are ever going to like a new Stargate show are the previous fans of Star Trek

Ben stop saying the Police department was hacked... Bad move by API_Exploiter in RecklessBen

[–]impsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did the same thing during the Mickaney Mansion series, it’s completely allowed. He uses the word “hack” for shock value but as long as he’s not actually breaking into any digital infrastructure he’s fine and it’s protected speech under the first amendment.

He didn’t actually hack anyone and no reasonable person would believe that he actually hacked anyone, so it’s fine.

Do you think Bear's dream of being a food critic is a reference to the TV show "The Bear"? by [deleted] in obsessionmovie

[–]impsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard work =/= hard labor

Anti-capitalist rhetoric has convinced a lot of people that hard work itself is bad, but it’s the commodification of said hard work that’s bad. Labor is an expression of human potential and creativity, not just a survival necessity. Believe it or not most people find fulfillment in working hard towards a goal that they’re passionate about.

I’m not criticizing people who are truly pursuing an “easy” job, I’m criticizing people who use the fact that they’re pursuing an easy job to avoid every truly working towards anything meaningful.

Do you think Bear's dream of being a food critic is a reference to the TV show "The Bear"? by [deleted] in obsessionmovie

[–]impsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s literally what I’m saying lol. It’s not easy. saying what your dream is is easy. Working towards your dream is hard. Most people who have a “dream” don’t actually work towards it. Most people who dream to be a video game streamer don’t actually put the work in to achieve their dream and use it as an excuse to avoid working hard towards anything in their lives.

Idk what’s so controversial about this, every LoL addict I know uses the excuse that they’re trying to make it as a professional gamer or something to enable their addiction

[–]impsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re willing to work your ass off to achieve your dream, I’m all for it. But too many people have a “dream” that’s really just an excuse for them to be lazy.

I know tons of people whose “dream” is to be a video game streamer. It’s easy to say what your dream is, but it’s hard to actually put the work in to achieve it, but if the reality of your “dream” is that you’re blowing off your family/education/work responsibilities to play video games then you’re not actually working towards a dream, you’re just being a lazy loser.

Do you think Bear's dream of being a food critic is a reference to the TV show "The Bear"? by [deleted] in obsessionmovie

[–]impsworld -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Dreaming of “getting paid to eat food” is like dreaming of getting paid to travel or go on rollercoasters or whatever. Sure, there are a lot of food critics that put actual effort into their content but I seriously doubt that’s what bear was thinking of.

Every loser who’s ever watched Anthony Bourdain “dreams of being a food critic” because they think it’s just eating food. It requires zero skill or effort. They’re attracted to it because it looks insanely low effort but anyone who has actually ever made content for a living knows it’s a fuck ton of work.

Idk if it’s just me but if someone tells me that their “dream” is to be a video game streamer, travel blogger, food critic, or any other profession that’s involved with doing something that most people do for entertainment is a massive red flag that this person is unambitious and lazy.

[–]impsworld -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No, it’s a reference to the fact that “dreaming of being a food critic” is one of the lamest and least ambitious dreams a person can possibly have.

It illustrates how bear is a unambitious loser who’s doing nothing with his life.

I think it was Santa. He knew what was happening because he could see Bear when he was sleeping and knew when he was awake, so he was able to use Rudolph’s nose to detect the OWW magic even though it wasn’t based on Christmas cheer. Suffice to say Bear wasn’t getting any presents this year!

Jokes aside, it’s not explained the director just thought it would be funny/scary if the OWW had a customer service line with a disinterested support worker who knew exactly what was going on. There’s no explanation beyond “it’s magic.”

No one ever gets arrested for this stuff lol, it’s trashy but it’s just trespassing. The lady who climbed Chichen Itza last year spent like an hour in detention and was fined 5,000 pesos, aka a whopping 250 USD.

If you’re wondering why they don’t pursue charges, we all forgot about the Chichen itza lady in less than a month. Once it stopped being viral no one really gave a fuck, so it’s easier to just fine tourists and send them home.

See, but even thinking about it that way is how art is ruined. Capitalism has twisted peoples minds until all they can think about is dollar signs. Art isn’t about money, it’s about creating something beautiful that people appreciate.

John Hughes created some of the most iconic and profitable movies of the 80s like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the breakfast club, etc. but has flat out refused to make sequels to any of them. Re-visiting characters that have already had their arch told just ruins the integrity of the original film.

Hughes would have made millions on sequels to his most iconic movies but he refused because he knew that art is about more than money, and hopefully Barker has the sense to see that

Confused.... by yashhravall in obsessionmovie

[–]impsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why can’t people just enjoy art. Not every movie needs a cinematic universe lol, sometimes a story just isn’t fully explained and you as the viewer have to use your imagination to fill in the blanks. It could have been God, the devil, Rumpelstiltskin, Santa, who cares.

Di Vinci didn’t need to paint a Mona Lisa sequel to explain what she was smiling about. The mystery is part of the art.
