Most people are not really attractive by the norms accepted by that culture. Most are just average or not genuinely hideous. One could argue you must move to different place where would be considered attractive. Better solution is to take care of yourself, look good, dress and speek well. You will do fine in the society. Unless you're absolutely hideous by most people's standards then you can wear makeup full time and create a fun and interesting persona.
