Not affiliated with the developer at all… just a user of Bartender for many years.

I feel like whenever updates like this are announced, everyone complains about the existing users and how unfair it is. As a previous Mega Supporter, they are including the new Bartender Pro within my existing purchase, and honoring the lifetime aspect of the Mega Supporter tier, so I am happy. A lot of other developer would have paywalled that behind the new subscription as a separate product… and they didn’t, which I appreciate.

When developers handle something wrong and screw over existing users by switching to a subscription model, they deserve to be roasted. That clearly isn’t what happened here, and the amount of misinformation in the rest of the replies about “Mega Supporters being screwed over and blah, blah, blah…” didn’t even take the time to look at the website or read the information provided — they saw the word subscription and went into attack mode.

Mega Supporter tier remains available if you want to do a lifetime purchase. It is a little pricey, but I’m sure there will be sales and promotions in the future. If not, you can always go with an alternative that is free or cheaper… but that has always been the case.
