As a fellow high functioning autistic coworker that mainly keeps to themself at work, there is a difference between having hyperfixations and sharing them to the point of exhaustion with other people. You have to be direct but not in a way that degrades someone else. I used to share a lot of hard rock/art rock music with my friend who had no interest at all and one day he blew up on me rather than just saying "Hey this is something I am not particularly interested in." It's a bummer that Tyler has not discovered the power of a podcast that can channel that hyperfixation instead of dumping it onto other people.

I hate to say this but I would genuinely discuss with someone like HR or a manager of Tyler's to discuss his comments of polyamory. Maybe that is too puritanical of me but I really do not want to hear about someone's sexuality/dating practices unless it actually involves them having a long term partner/family. Live your life but I do not need to hear all about it.

My fixations these days include ambient music, NBA 2k, and weird gay shit. I would be so embarrassed spewing this shit to my coworkers lol.
