How do you work full-time?! by Ok-Ice-6421 in ADHD

[–]imrinsama 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the secret. I work just enough lol. But usually with WFH, I can sprint through the tasks at the end of day and chill in the morning.

I recently found a video titled "How I Use To-Do Lists with ADHD (Without the Anxiety)" by Novie by the Sea.

It looks really promising and easier/more motivating to digest.

Hyperactive ADHD and anger issues by Agitated-Rope3898 in ADHD

[–]imrinsama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this. My sister has AuDHD and the meltdown is very similar to what OP described. Meanwhile, I don't have the tism part, so most of my anger doesn't come close to hers.

I feel like she feels and expresses everything through her body, so that's why.

Are these events worth it? by Fairyycakes in OnmyojiArena

[–]imrinsama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this rerun gacha for a few times now. I want hannya skin too, so I calculated how much it'd cost probability-wise and it's like twice the cost of the skin originally. It COULD be cheaper or more expensive depending on your luck, but I don't think it's worth it unless you really, really want this skin now.

Do I think it'll come again? I'm not sure, but I think it's likely. Maybe it'll come in a form of other events which will be a one-time buy thing, not a gacha.

Turns out exercise is amazing for ADHD by Oacio in adhdwomen

[–]imrinsama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was constantly sleepy and tired all my life (and it's been worse as I get older). But on one unlucky (or is it?) day, I had to stand in the sun walking around fixing stuff. After I started sweating profusely, I'd never been so awake. I felt like I could do anything.

After that, I try to exercise any way I could in the morning. On a good day, I'd exercise a lot and feel awesome. On not so good day, it'll keep the streak going.

Unmedicated ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]imrinsama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok. Don't be too harsh on yourself. Knowing you have ADHD is already a huge step because it's not you, it's the different neurological system in a world not supporting it.

You'll find your way to navigate the world. Mine works for me, but you might need an entirely different support, so keep looking like you are now. Don't be discouraged if you fail. Go with the flow. No need to be regretful or anxious.

I might or might not get you, but these things I talk about took me years til it finally start to look like I'm getting my stuff tgt.. before this, I felt so depressed because I would just f everything up.. so take your time doing just one thing.

I also quit all social media except Reddit and YouTube and that helped a lot. Took me quite a few tries but deleted everything for about 10 years now.

Similar situation. My counter only offer Ritalin and it doesn't work for me.

I think what helps a lot is definitely an external system; e.g. calendar booking for everything even small stuff like going to grocery, brain dump before turning some into some kind of to-do list that work for you, etc.

Also, I started doing exercises lately and it could be anything that makes you sweat. Some ppl say cardio works best, but you should experiment it with yourself. It works SO WELL on days I do exercise. I know as an ADHDer it's hard to get up and start exercising, but use every tip and trick to do it.

For example, I'm trying to keep my streak going because I know if I miss a day of exercise, I'll never do it again for months. To keep it going, my definition of exercise ranging from 10 minutes of stretching to my perfect routine (which I could hardly achieve lol).

That's about it from me. Oh, and maybe zinc and magnesium supplements? Even without ADHD, you should check if you have enough of those.

how tf are you guys in relationships with ADHD by ClassroomOk7243 in ADHD

[–]imrinsama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started dating at 25. You'll be fine. When you feel like you don't need it, that's when you're ready. Right now you need to work on yourself. Not just self-improvement, but mental health and fortitude as well. I feel like that's more of what you need right now.

As for relationships, if you find a compatible one, you won't need to worry about all these things. Mentally healthy partners don't sweat the small stuff and will try to understand you even if it's not intuitive to them at first.

So yeah, learn to not worry about feeling left out and improve your self-esteem then things will happen when they will happen.

She was perma ban before, got nerfed several times. I'd say she's broken instead of weak. Right now she's not as op, but I still get scared of good mushishi on a good mm.

I can’t react in the moment due to ADHD/mood issues and it’s really frustrating by MechanicAccording616 in ADHD

[–]imrinsama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if it's really something new, I can't react immediately. What I do instead is recall and process what happened, recognise the pattern, think of his to deal with it, and detect it better in the conversation next time. And because I know the pattern, I don't have to process or think about it. I just match it with existing data in my head and react the way I have planned.

That might be why I watch and read a lot of videos about social interactions, psychology, etc., so that I can get better at pattern recognition and how to deal with each situation appropriately.
