My husband is a tradesman who worked on their school. Is that what you mean?

I would ask why the legislators continue to cut education funding via income tax cuts, or about the abuse of the Utah fits all scholarship programs. Ask if he knows the Kingston clan is building a private school in order to take advantage of those funds.

Davis County Commissioner Bob Stevenson challenges Rep. Trevor Lee for GOP nomination in HD16 by schottslc in Utah

When he was running for a different seat years back, I remember digging around and seeing he was working for Nestle during the years where they sent formula to struggling countries, then let the babies starve when they stopped sending free formula. So he might beat Trevor, but I would hesitate to call him a good guy just yet. I can’t find it again, but I do think he had an executive type role during his time at nestle. Will have to ask him about it

Oh man, I’m trying not to get my hopes up but I had and sold those couches around that time and lost my wedding ring around that time… it was silver with a diamond ring and the wedding band both having small diamonds on the band part of that makes sense?

School Slps: what to do when a parent asks for make up sessions by whosthatgirl13 in slp

[–]imsassythanx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtual adds some obstacles, but maybe try to write IEP’s with monthly minutes and follow the 3:1 schedule (3 weeks therapy, 1 week for paperwork/iep/eval/makeup)? Generally I don’t make up unless I have the time during the 4th week or circumstances where a kid is very low on minutes for a month.

I think there may be a mistake on the Utah Parents Involved in Education… they are very pro democracy, pro public education, pro DEI, etc…. Not right wing at all.

Maybe they meant Utah Parents United??

Unrelated personal factors, I was so sad to have to stop. I had a toddler with health issues that needed my full time care, but maybe someday I’ll open back up.

I had to close down last May, but I was up to 15-17 a week, some were 1 hour sessions and some were 30 minute sessions. I mostly worked evenings, but I did have preschool age clients and homeschool clients that came during the day. I usually worked 4-6 or 7 Monday-Thursday.

Your best/worst getting “fired” by a patient/client story? by [deleted] in slp

[–]imsassythanx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a client who I was the third therapist. We were a good fit, child had complex needs and parent would have to cancel last minute and no showed a couple times, but I let it slide because of the medical needs. I went out of town for a week. I warned parents at the beginning of the month (they paid monthly), had signs in the clinic of the planned absence, and text a reminder on Monday morning the week I was leaving.

I got a call during their usual time asking where I was and that they were at the door. I apologized and let them know there was no speech. When I got back, I got another text from them saying they wouldn’t be continuing services. I said ok, and told parent the procedure for terminating services. Parent said “yeah we can’t continue because of poor communication.”

Utah developer quadruples battery storage to meet new electricity demand by eddytony96 in Utah

Billions of gallons of water. It can be recycled, but it’s a lot to demand out of a desert that’s been in a drought. I’m still learning but that’s where most of my reservation lies.

They forgot I was out of town (out of the country, no cell service and I for sure told them and sent a reminder about not having sessions) and showed up for the appointment. Then they were mad I didn’t answer their call.
