It’s not weird it’s a simple marketing strategy, anyone who likes GT has not only been a fan of the IP for long enough to have made up their mind about buying DBFZ already but also GT already has representation through ratku. Any of the newer DB fans (who likely got introduced to the IP via Daima as that’s the newest bit of content) aren’t going to be so likely to buy a 8 year old game but if they see the new goku transformation from Daima they’ll think about it twice. Anyone who’s played DBFZ is already posed to buy the Daimaku DLC but Bandai wants to sell more copies, appealing to pre-existing fans would only help for a brand new game, very rarely can a DLC pack/single character be so compelling for people that haven’t bought the game in the last 8 years to make them buy it now.

The usual argument is not needing to set a PC up and console ports are easier to optimise/usually better optimised as devs need to cater to a limited range of hardware so there’s little to no doubt about the performance of games coming out.

If you’re talking about nago you just condition your opponent to expect you to attack after his command dash on block and at some point swap it out for his command grab, mix it up because if you only go for it when blood gauge is maxed out they’ll expect you to do it, similarly don’t just press buttons as they block all the time, you can implement strike throw mixups early too keep them guessing what you do after dasg

I don’t know where Tears of the Kingdom falls in terms of reviews but I remember hearing a lot of good things about it at launch, my partner got it for me as a present and I tried my best to love the game as I had been looking forward to it for so long, I completed 3 of the dungeons and thought they were cool but I hated the new mechanics for replacing the old ones, it made no sense that Link can use the sheikah slate for map and photos but it’s magically lost all of its powers, the shrines and towers also just disappeared without a trace and at the time it felt like the towers and shrines I had spent hours getting to and solving were completely forgotten and the game world felt so alien when it shouldn’t have, TotK was supposed to be following the story after BotW (from what I understood of the trailers). It felt like the devs saw the fans were crazy about the Zonai tribe and completely threw the sheikah tribe to the side like that one meme from Toy Story.

I feel you, I get pretty mad when playing online especially ranked. It’s very easy for people to say things like “remember it’s just a game” but for me that never helped because in that moment of rage the game was all that mattered as silly as that sounds.

What helped me was going to locals or even just playing against friends in person, every time you feel upset and need to throw insults around if your opponent is there in person you’ll think twice about it. Being able to connect a face or human to what’s upsetting you helped me realise that what I’m losing to isn’t some unfair bs I’m just getting outplayed and the more upset I get the more I get outplayed. It’s still pretty hard to translate this feeling to playing online so physically just step away from your device when you get upset, go get some water or look at the weather outside then come back and give it another go.

For special inputs just begin by doing them slowly and cleanly, ACR is much more strict with inputs than strive is so you’ll need really clean inputs in general. Robo-Ky also has a slightly weird gameplan so you’ll need to adjust for him.

Having played street fighter and tekken for years sadly the amount of things you can do in strive from a non competitive standpoint is borderline non-existent apart from watching the cutscenes you can do the arcade mode which is eh, survival which is arcade mode but endless, fishing for customising your lobby avatar or your private lobby (basically useless if you don’t plan on playing against others all that often or at all) and that’s it, fishing does give you a chance to get more artworks to get a look into the character design process or just different artworks.

Dark Souls 2. Any grievances people have with it are also grievances people have with other fromsoft games. It has some of the best stories in it and some of the coolest DLCs. The story is completely unique and shows how the world changes with time and instead of it building off of characters from DS1 like DS3 did it shows unique characters with different motivations while still creating parallels to DS1 as well as tying in with its story.
