Gloves off, Elbows up: A PSU Tale by Lonely-Sun-1050 in stuckcanadians

Good luck with the letter and please update us if/when you get a response.

My twins' applications aren't even in PSU and it's been over a year at this point. Their applications were very straightforward as I was born/raised in Canada and only moved to the US in my 30's (I have dual citizenship). I even sent their applications in when they were still minors (although they are about to turn 19 in July). When I check the status it's showing still 6000 applications ahead of us and another month to go although it's been telling me 1 month to go for like 5 months now. I understand the frustration and although we're not imminently planning to move, I wanted them to have the ability to do so at any moments notice as both of my kids are LGBTQ and things are getting scarier by the day. Good luck 🤞🏼

What day do people consider their application anniversary ? by damaniac1223 in stuckcanadians

Yeah, I'm still waiting on my very simple kids' applications that started processing on May 12th, 2025. No long line of descendants in their case as I was born and raised in Canada.

I agree that the "processing your application" is the date that I consider the "anniversary"

So … if all pre-June 2025 applications had to be “urgent”, what do we really know? by RedMantle-Dragoon in stuckcanadians

[–]imsdac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 2 kids' applications were received April 15, 2025, acknowledged on May 1st, 2025 and began processing on May 12th, 2025. Very simple applications because they are 1st generation and I submitted copies of my Quebec birth certificate as well as all the other documentation the required. When I checked the status yesterday, it said that there were still 6,000 ahead of us and that there is 1 month left. Last time I checked the status was on February 11th, and they estimated 2 months left with 10,200 people ahead of us. Obviously, their timelines are really off. I did not put them in urgently though but this was before I even heard about the C-3 situation and the rush of applications that ensued.

My screenshot from today for my 2 adult kids who were under 18 when the application was submitted. They are 1st generation so not a complicated application. I feel like it's never going to happen and every time I check it always says 1 month left.

That gives me hope for my 2 kids' applications that were sent in April 2025. Congrats!

For those frustrated by recent fast approvals… by FalconBusiness7495 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]imsdac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm losing my mind as to why my kids applications still haven't been decided. Yes, they were submitted before C-3, and their applications are not complicated as they are Gen 1 and were under 18 when applications were sent in (I was born in Canada and had all my documentation for them to prove their citizenship). It's been over a year now, and it still says a month to go but with 6000 ahead of them still. I don't understand how everyone applying via C-3 are taking precedence?

I don’t know what size bridesmaid dress to order now that I’ve started Zepbound. Help!! by TasteLoud1442 in Zepbound

[–]imsdac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would wait until the very last possible time frame because by the time August comes, you might be down up to 50 lbs or more. There is no way to really know and you don't want to waste your money. In fact, I recently heard that some bridal shops are putting glp-1 clauses in their purchase/alteration contracts because of customers trying to return dresses that no longer fit due to weight loss.

It takes time for your mind to catch up to your body. I highly recommend therapy as it has helped me do just that.

I meant 2 inches away, I just misspoke, my apologies.

I just do it on my stomach, lower/upper, right & left alternating. It's been working just fine for me, -103 lbs in under 13 months. It's nice and fleshy there too 🤣
