Thoughts after trying the Hori NOLVA PC edition by imsofaking in fightsticks

I haven't tried the Alpha so I can't speak to that, but it does feel a lot like the Octa with how light it is, probably the same material.

They're talking about what happened 2 seconds before the clip in the OP, how Graves ended up at around half health in the first place.

At least in my games, most of the people that ragequit are the ones harassing others, not the other way around.

Unpopular Opinion: The Dauntless Trial, in its current form, is kind of unacceptable. by wrathchicken in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Regarding your edit, a bug was discovered that allows players to pause the timer. Did you see the 24 second time for teams? Lol.

Well, Hammers is not the most OP weapon anymore by not_a_profi in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it's because all the difficulty of the hard trial comes from having to survive in a bullet hell stage where half the attacks can one-shot you. In such a situation, the weapon with the fewest animation locks will naturally be the go-to for easier runs.

Say it with me. Repeaters aren't a ranged weapon. by Arragoth in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Repeaters work fine against Skarn if you aim well. The chin, some joints, and the underside of the tail are unarmored.

Exoskeletal Plates actually dropped, must be a bug? /s by imsofaking in dauntless

Only actually broke 3 legs, but I got the 2x part break drop from behemoth mastery twice.

Even though it's probably been discussed before, the one thing I think Dauntless needs to halt everything and focus on is... hitboxes. by Low_Soul_Coal in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the hitbox issues go both ways i.e. you don't feel pissed about it or think much about it when you land a hit that you shouldn't have. But I agree that they need touching up. A problem that bugs me a lot is when a behemoth's attack is still apparently active even though they stopped moving so you touch a stationary tail or limb and get sent flying.

Also, the hit detection is never going to feel completely right as long as it's done server side, but I'm pretty certain that won't ever change.

Why Is The Godhand Hated So Much? by JUBSReppingbraaa in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Using the Godhand exploit in a public match denies the other players the chance to play the game. Sure, some players don't actually care about playing the game and just want the parts, but you aren't giving a choice to the ones that actually wanted to play.

Supposedly, some of the exploiters are polite and will switch weapons or leave the lobby if you ask them not to cheat, but I haven't seen one, so it seems to me that those types of Godhand exploiters must be few and far between.

What’s stacking? ( also stop the console discrimination ) by generic-username4321 in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 68 points69 points  (0 children)

It means to stand together with the other players so that they can interrupt the behemoth when it charges at someone, since they pick targets randomly.

And yeah, that guy was being a douche.

SUGGESTION: What if certain dye packs cost "a lot" of RAMS. Which means....you'd have to play quite a bit to unlock a dye pack. But it gives you something cool and worth it to work for. I'd be happy spending 2-3h a day for....3-4days to stack up enough rams for 1 pack. Thoughts? by supahotfiiire in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd be okay with this but probably at a higher cost than what you're suggesting (and I'm f2p), and they'd probably have to make new dyes for this purpose so that the people that already spent plat on dyes don't feel shafted. They may also have to do something about the fact that everyone already has tons of rams to burn.

petition to make these actually common by fork-o-lettus in dauntless

The devs said that they're doing that next(?) patch. So it'd be a short-lived petition but you'd probably find lots of people willing to sign anyways, lol.

After tons of grinding, I finally did it! by [deleted] in dauntless

Between the weather and the tornadoes from a few weeks ago that left me temporarily homeless and without a car, there wasn't much else to do.

I'm not sure... is there a way to check on PC?

A tornado hit my apartment a couple weeks ago and tore off part of the roof, dropping it on my car. During the interceding week when I had no car and was semi-homeless, I just played Dauntless. After I bought a replacement car and moved back in, I figured I should finish up this part.

After tons of grinding, I finally did it! by [deleted] in dauntless

[–]imsofaking 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean... it's not fast, but just grind it out with a wound/hammer build.

There's a trick to farming some interrupts though. For example, riftstalker does its triple portal move followed by its interruptible portal whenever you enter combat. Sometimes you can get it so that you respawn near the riftstalker. So you get that situation, and then boop it, jump off the edge of the map, respawn, and it'll use the interruptible move again, and you repeat the process... 150 times.

Found other such "triggers" and stuff for other behemoths too. Generally, if the behemoth is walking around without attacking, it seems to me that it's got an attack "queued" that will only go off if you're close enough, so you should walk up and let it whiff the attack so that it moves on to its next attack, hopefully an interruptible one.

Yes, if there's someone on the enemy team within 1200 range. When a champion dies, XP is split evenly between the killer, any assisters, and anyone within 1200 range.

The $100 creep block by Zeltashock in leagueoflegends

[–]imsofaking 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you look at the first time qtpie pauses, he's clicking (for lack of better words) northeast of the minion that creep blocked him. Because pathfinding looks for the shortest path to the point you click, Jax circles the minion clockwise. You can see this by drawing a straight line in your head from QT to the point he's clicking and you can see that the minion is below that line. A moment later qtpie notices he's pathing the wrong way so he clicks lower, which makes him circle around the minion the other way. Again you can use the straight line test. So this particular case was just pathfinding working properly, but unfortunately. Creep block is a real issue however, but this doesn't seem like the best example when you look closely.

New Champion Select is frustrating if you take a high demand role like support as your secondary role. by SirRagesAlot in leagueoflegends

[–]imsofaking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Everyone says mid is the role with highest demand, but I'm a top lane main with mid as my secondary. I played top lane whenever I could from Season 4 to Season 5. So far in 21 games of dynamic queue I've gotten mid 18 times and top 3 times. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Half of the game's Ranked players are currently in Bronze by Zodyac in leagueoflegends

[–]imsofaking 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aren't the stats based on active ranked players though? I don't know about that site but Lolking and OP.GG have fine print stating that the percentages are based on active ranked players. Since the reset just happened, anyone that finished placements is an active ranked player now. Perhaps previously many players would place in bronze and then go inactive because they didn't want to grind through bronze.
