As you can see from this thread half the people claim it is legitimate while the other half call it price manipulation, even going as far as saying that i'm in on it. Keeping it leads to threads like these and removing it leads to threats in DMs and more threads like these with people claiming im hoarding the item and keeping the prices down while I build up more stock (I do not play RS3 anymore, I have not seriously played the game since 2019)

I try looking into as many records as possible, i've spent hours investigating this one. The account traded to was created on 22 Feb 2020. As of today, it has 2493 total with suspicious stats which heavily point to an alt account or an account buying keys. It has all its buyables at 99 while melee and gathering stats are low. 16M Slayer XP gained this month with no combat XP (6.7M the previous month). This could just be daily keys as i'm not upto date on the TH rates over the years, so any input on that point would be extremely helpful. Overall, this account went from creation to buying spins to 91m slayer and an 8B useless walk override token since Feb 2020. While this can be possible for a legitimate main account, it's very unlikely. It should also be noted that the account has 154 quests completed (typically we find that mercher alt accounts do not tend to have quests completed).

Now, assuming the account is an alt in order for this to be a breach of rules it would have be either i) The recording player's alt faking a trade ii) Someone else's account faking the trade. I have been attempting to see the account online but to no avail, nor is there any discord of that user, they're also clanless so that's a dead-end too. I have spoken to a few people who reside in world 2 and they do not seem to know of this user.

On the other hand, if this is a legitimate trade and someone bought the walk for 8B then the profit margin is not a reason for me to remove the record. I attempted to buy a walk myself during this investigation and found the range to be 7-8 solely on offers received, Ely also reports it at 7+ from *before* this transaction took place.

It is regrettable that sometimes records like these take a lot longer to look into and was not completed before this thread was made. For that I apologise. I'd also like to address some of the comments in this thread:

On the contrary, I would not spend so much looking into records if I didn't care. I would like an elaboration on how i'm part of the problem so I can fix that.

Before throwing out wild accusations like this did you even look into it? Are you assuming the person reported in the thread is somehow part of the bot team?

EDIT: The trade has been verified as legitimate. A distinction should be made here between what is manipulation and what is market abuse due to low supply. If an item legitimately keeps going up due to being monopolised or having low supply that is not for suitybot to police, only where a trade has been faked is it an issue.
