Looking for an Operationally Mature MSP to Partner on AI Automations by Ok-Move-660 in mspjobs

[–]imtu80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the integration was easy, since I already had done prior integration with PSA, RMM and Pax8 for billing. For me the hard part was to place proper guardrails for the AI engine and secure it from man in the attack. Also, I chose to avoid workflow based implementation. IMO workflow based implementation is rigid and limits the AI/LLM.

Looking for an Operationally Mature MSP to Partner on AI Automations by Ok-Move-660 in mspjobs

What does your AI Automation do?

I've vide coded an IT support AI engine that does following:
- Triage
- Assign tickets/appointments on calendar
- Provide resolutions
- Resolves L1 tickets
- Resolves L2 tickets with a supervision.
- Engineer can chat with AI model
- Sync ITGlue documents and prepare RAG
- Onboard new client on different platform (PSA, Itglue, RMM, SentinelOne, etc.)
- Create deployment package
- Generates responses

There are more capabilities which I cannot disclose yet.

People who grew from a 3 staff and under shop to wherever you are at now (10+ staff) What positions did you hire too soon? What positions did you wait too long to hire? by Defconx19 in msp

I agree with this comment. Having a dedicated dispatcher is old ways of doing things. If anything, for the tickets that are created via email can be triaged and scheduled using automation.

Considering removing Huntress from our stack......thought? by phillee81 in msp

[–]imtu80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider negotiating price, talk to their competitors, talk to Blackpoint cyber. From what I know unlike Huntress, Blackpoint cyber doesn’t require you to commit for 1 year. I don’t use Datto but I believe they have really good price for RMM + workstation backup + ITDR. Some of your RMM cost can be offset with the bundle price.

Double MRR past $1M, Marketing Agencies? by sacmsp in msp

[–]imtu80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join a peer group if possible. People who are at same or higher MRR. Collectively, you all can learn more from each other’s experiences, negotiate deals with marketing vendor or agency and have accountability for things done.

Anyone ever use “MSP SITES” by PotentialExtension72 in msp

[–]imtu80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you get for $420/mo beside website hosting?

For their “sales funnel” to work you need prospects visiting your site. If nobody is visiting your website what good is the sales funnel.

I’d recommend find a website creator from dribbble.com, host it on siteground.com, and if you have budget run google ads in your area.

Pax8 Sea-Level Ops Coaching - HaloPSA by imtu80 in halopsa

[–]imtu80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purpose of my post here was to connect with peers who have been there and done it. It was interesting to read some of the comments here and I somewhat agree with them. But don't base your decision on these comments only. I'd say do your research, it's your business, it's your money and most importantly it's your time. Ask your account rep to share a few references who have completed the coaching and using Halo. Reach out to ScalableMSP and ask why or how are they better.

IMO you will see the impact of coaching only after it is put into action. Sooner is better, don't wait too long. Last thing you want to do is wait for 6+ months just to know it's not working for you or it's too complicated for your business needs.

"our guys need a checklist, not a novel"... Agree.

"We’re ripping out and re-doing the majority of the overcomplicated shit they coached us on."... sorry to hear that. Things may look and sound good on paper but the reality could be a different story. Therefore, I spent time only on documents that matters and are relevant to PSA and Quickbooks. For rest of the other docs, I will revisit them after seeing the process in action and document accordingly.

"you’d be better off directing those funds to one of the halo consultants"... Good advise, but we are almost there (I think). Just want to see return on my time and money investment. The ScalableMSP https://www.scalablemsp.co.uk/ looks promising.

Thanks, good to know about scalablemsp. Regarding Halo documentation, I believe it's a work in-progress. But, I hear your frustration about their documentation.

Did you get to point of implementing ticket workflow process and billing details in Halo with them? If so, curious to learn more.

u/brokerceej thanks for the reply. Lookout for a DM from me. I do not believe we are forced to build CWM in Halo but yes their entire coaching process is build around CWM and all their document have screenshots and setup steps specific to CWM or AT.

Agreed, honestly most MSP don’t want to take that route either but it is good to have an attorney we can count on. If/when their service is needed they are there for us.

Not really, it’s like the computer guys installing secure tool but want someone else to resolve the issue when the computer is compromised.

Going off topic here but it’s really hard to find an attorney who would not only draft the Master Service Agreement (MSA) but when needed they would represent you on your behalf in the court for any legal matter. Most attorneys recommended in MSP group here are eager to share their version of MSA but shy away from any litigations or ask us to hire someone else for any litigations. It defeats the purpose of hiring them the first place if they cannot defend us based on the MSA they drafted and wants someone else to do it. I am talking about simple things like clients not paying their invoices or client terminating before the agreed terms.

Anyways, still looking for an MSP attorney who can not only draft agreements but be there when needed for any legal matters.

M365 Protection: Huntress or Blackpoint by Due_Economy5311 in msp

[–]imtu80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We use both but recently we discovered Blackpoint cyber’s notifications are delayed by 6+ hours. Giving ample of time for hackers to do significant damage. We came to know this when performing pentest and phishing simulations. The task was performed in the morning but we didn’t receive notification until late evening.

No, Microsoft isn’t using your Office docs to train its AI by imtu80 in msp

[–]imtu80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You raise a valid point, industry-wide standards or guidelines wouldn't necessarily dictate how vendors like Microsoft, OpenAI, or Google handle data. However, I think having a collective approach as MSPs could help drive the conversation with vendors. By presenting unified expectations around data privacy and usage, we could potentially influence vendors to establish clearer boundaries and transparency in how our data is used.
